you harvest and dry in a cool environment. colder the better as long as you can keep 60% rh. you can hang the plant whole, upside down. water the night before the harvest that will make for an even longer drying period. now in this environment drying should take approximately between 10 to 14 days.
after that you trim the leaves off, manicure the buds and put them into a jar. you should have humidity sensors in those jars. they dont have to be super accurate but they should be fairly accurate. read the reviews and decide on one and order yourself some. each jar should have one sensor. you put the buds in the jars filling the jars halfway at most and after 12 hours read what the sensor says. if its around 65% rh in the jars open the cap let it breathe for a couple of minutes and move the buds around so each one makes direct contact with fresh air. close the lid and leave them for another 12-24 hrs and repeat the process until you see a stable reading of 62% for more than 48 hours without burping (burping means opening the jars and letting it breathe)
now if when you first put the buds in and visited 12 hrs later and saw anything over 65%, you dump the buds out on a table or a drying rack and dry them out for a couple of hours and if the deviation is huge (ie. the sensors read over 68-70%) you leave them outside overnight and jar them again the next day and visit 12hrs later to see what the sensors read. if they read 65% continue with the process as i explained in the prior paragraph. if the sensors are reading over 65% repeat the process i explained in this last paragraph.
and thats pretty much how you cure. you let the buds dry out from 65% to 62-58% (depending on your preference) as slowly as you can.
