Noticing slight discoloration on Gelato, running in living soil, does this still have something to do with a nutrient deficiency? Has anyone encountered something like this?
Either what is said down below or genetics. Id do more research into it. My 1st answer makes no sense when you look at your other plants.
Some sort of mutation. Let it grow out and see what happens. Nothing can spread unless that pot is in the same area and you get overspill and another plant sucks up the water.
Do some more research.
But looking closer at it. I'd say it's just mutations.
mosaic virus is kind of a stretch man. i’ve never had it and i touch my leaves regularly after rolling cigarettes and stuff. some plants just do this mottled growth. that doesnt mean its tmv. it more than likely isnt tmv.
hard water doesnt mean water with chlorine it means water with high bicarbonate content mostly so if you had hard water you’d also see white specks after it dries.
also chlorine doesnt stain leaves unless you have absurd amounts of chlorine which you wont get from tap water. if chlorine stained leaves we couldnt grow any healthy plants outside but you gotta be a gardener to know that.
its genetic i’ve grown many mottled plants. my chem line does this regularly, its genetic.
seems genetic to me. sometimes they grow mottled and stuff rest of your plants look alright so i’m gonna go with genetics.
there is not much you can do about genetics other than hoping that it’ll grow out of it
