When using a Apple cider vinegar/water mixture is it ok to spray the entire plant, leaves bud and all to combat Powdery Mildew (PM)? I’m assuming it’s ok and may help prevent the PM from infecting the buds leading to bud rot?

In general, I don't think its all that great of a thing to spray anything directly on the buds. I've never tried spraying my buds with anything so I don't know 100% if apple cider vinegar would harm them. I tried to dig up some information on using apple cider vinegar to kill PWM and found quite a few articles, but none specified if spraying your buds was okay. They all just said to spray down all affected leaves. In my search for info, I did a few other remedies(Baking soda, Milk, Hydrogen peroxide) that did actually mention that you should spray the buds. One person in the comments of one of the sites I was reading stated milk did wonders for their PWM. I will quote the comment here: "the way to use it is as follows dilute 400ml milk to 600ml water allow solution to stand in an open container in the sun for about an hour then spray entire plant, the science behind this is that milk, when exposed to direct sun and air, builds up natural antifungal and antibacterial enzymes that kill the powdery mildew on contact." I hope this helps and good luck in your battle!

I use baking soda 1/2 tsp, water(1L), Olive oil(2 drops so everything sticks) and dawn(a drop). Works great. Also look for any other weeds or plants around that has the mildew on them as well. Use a heavier product for those. Trim the leaves inside the plant that are heavily covered and any that may lead to hidden mildew or the further spread of mildew through contact of the leaves. You will start to notice what can go and what can stay.

I agree with Spinner Carribean if it's in an early stage Use 1 part whole milk to 1 part water It's the safest way at this stage be sure to spray under the leaves till it's dripping off. Early morning spraying would be best so she will dry off before nighttime. Problem is dew is collecting on your plants in the cool morning temperatures making conditions ideal for mildew. You should also open them up by defoliating the plants for better air exchange. You have quite a few plants you can try to cover them in the evening with frost blankets to try to keep them dry may be too much work at this point. Hope this helps.👍

What is happening here ? Y'all have a powdery mildew issue today ( you are the 3rd one ). So the 1st one did uses a milk/water mixture ( 1:1 ) and did spray his plant with it ( the milk is known as anti fungus ) , the second didn't know what to do so I recommended him to use the Bordeaux mixture that is the oldest French product against the Powdery mildew. So you have a cheap method with the milk and a not expensive one wit the Bordeaux mixture.
