How to maintain lower humidity during flower in small grow space.

Struggling to maintain humidity below 70% and unable to fit a dehumidifer in the tent. Any issues with leaving the tent open during the day to lower humidity if temp is maintained? Dehumidifer in lung room isnt bringing the humidity down far enough.

I am of the heretical opinion that unzipping the tent - whether to keep temps down or humidity down - is perfectly acceptable. Most folks will scream "BUT THE LOSS OF LIGHT!!! - pffffftttttt.... I'd rather lose some light than lose my harvest to fungus or heat stress... Sometimes I just unzip the top of the door, sometimes I unzip the bottom of the door - and sometimes I unzip the whole damn thing.... do what will control the humidity best.. Good luck!

Hi, my friend. You can leave your tent open with no problems! you lose pretty much nothing and you can only earn with a lower humidity. if you can't or don't want to use more tools or equipement, leave your tent open and they will enjoy it! GOOD LUCK :-D

No, there isn''t a single issue with leaving your tent open while the lights are on. You lose a little light, but it's not that big of a deal.

Hello. I ran my grow room for years without a dehumidifier. I turned up the exhaust fan when the humidity is high, and I cut fan leaves off the plants till I got the humidity where I wanted it. I liked to leave 4 to 8 fan leaves on the growing end of each branch, your call on where and what to take. The fan leaves transpire the most amount of water. So, if your fan is running at full speed get a bigger one or another small one. I also made some boxes that let the air in but not the light. I put them on the bottom vent holes. It's like a labyrinth where the air snakes through the box down different tunnels to come out in the tent. No light just air transfer. Color the interior flat black. You can add 3 or 4, how many lower vents do you have? I could keep it around 60% by just turning up the fan and cutting fan leaves. Good luck. Chuck.

Hi there You can leave the tent open on a corner it will help abit .. just make sure no light pollution gets in when lights are off .. Bettering that would be a exhaust fan thats on a speed control so you can turn up when humidity is high, Best of luck 🌱
