I read that a week before harvesting if you cut the big leafs tch pumps up in the plant. And if the last two days have it in the dark then something else good happens. I grow outside and she is almost ready. Can I do both of them?

Both ideas are absolutely crap and have absolutely no scientific basis. More leaves = more energy = more growth (THC) - pure and simple. Darkness before harvest has no real scientific evidence and is an urban myth. How can a plant in complete darkness make energy to do anything much, let alone produce bulk more THC?? Harvest early in the morning, within 2 hours of sunrise, this will give you the tastiest, most terpene laden buds. I have experimented with outdoor harvest timing for more than 35 years and have determined that this 2 hour morning period is prime harvest time, but what would I know? As I see it, you want to harvest happy and healthy plants that are functioning at their peak. Why anyone would want to stress their plants (defoliation or extended darkness for example), after months of careful growing and right before harvesting them.....is completely beyond me!

Don't cut leaves, in outdoor they are more important than indoor, in last days too, because in indoor the lamp is Always in the same position, and big leaves shades on lower buds, in outdoor the sun go E to W, so the whole plant Is illuminated during the day :) For the 24(maybe 48)hrs dark, i always do that, because during night the plant use all sugar possible (remember to flush anyway), in outdoor it's useless because the ground is limitless :) Harvest when she will be ready, beautiful plant ✌️

Hi there I I can’t see the benefits of cutting the leaves one week before i will of anything cause stress.. I would understand if you were cutting them off 24hrs before harvest so the plant has less moisture for the drying process.. Best of luck 🌱

I've never heard of cutting off the leaves before harvest.. I've heard of putting the plants in the dark but I don't know what benefit that gives them... and how can you give them complete darkness if they're growing outside? Nope... just make sure you've got your trim scissors nice and sharp and that you've got a lot of free time because you, my friend, are going to be in what's known as "trim jail" !! Congratulations!

And on the other hand, both of this methods seem to be stressful. Do I want to smoke a plant that had a good and sadden death, or a plant that died and was living in pain and stress for the last week of her life?

I just find it a bit weird to cut the leafs 7 days before. Doesn’t she put all of her energy to make new leafs after instead of focusing on her buds? I had to cut all her big ones a month ago due to a disease and she grown the small ones that she had. Not all of them, but she did. ?
