Has anyone actually rigged up one of the DIY Cannatrol cure systems? The founder gave away the sauce for their controller setup. Perfect cure always?

I’ve seen some Reddit posts and a few YouTube videos of people building their own curing chambers using a wine refrigerator, a deconstructed dehumidifier module, and an AC Infinity controller. From what I gathered, the main challenge with this DIY setup compared to the Cannatrol is fine-tuning the humidity drop-off to achieve the perfect dry. On a somewhat related note—though I know this doesn’t directly answer your question—I was considering buying a Cannatrol about six months ago but ended up purchasing a freeze dryer instead. The reason? It also allows me to dry bubble hash. So far, I’ve used it to dry buds four times, and the results have been amazing. It preserves nearly all of the terpenes, as well as the color and structure of the buds. My process is simple: I chop down the plant, immediately bag the buds, and freeze them for 24 hours. Then, I run them through the freeze dryer for another 24 hours, which removes all the moisture. But don’t worry—this method retains the quality of the flower. After drying, I store the buds in Grove Bags or jars with 62% humidity packs, and within 2–3 days, they rehydrate slightly and are ready to smoke. That’s right—just 4–5 days after harvest, my buds are fully cured and ready to go. And they’ve been incredible. I’ll document my full process in my current grow diary once I harvest. But I bring this up because a high-quality freeze dryer costs around ,000 USD—significantly cheaper than a Cannatrol. Not only does it get you smoking top-tier buds faster, but it also serves multiple purposes.
