Space out nodes

I've been looking at other peoples diaries and I'm noticing that other peoples autos are stretching more and have more space to breath while mine are like stubby small bushes. For a future grow now to I get them to spread out more and have more space in-between nods?

To answer question exactly: Raise lights ( creepy is right) during veg higher and lower during flower Although, your plants are healthy already. I would focus on your LST to help with node spacing and more light to bud sites.

Hey Growmie, Too much distance between internodes is not a good thing. Some strains, like Sativa varieties, may naturally grow taller and stretch more than other strains. However, if the internodal distance is too long, branches and stems become weaker. It seems to me your doing a great job and have great internode space if you are worried about the plant breathing from below try defoliation or just having great air circulation to fix that.

Hello! Then keep in mind that some varieties remain bushy because their genetics (indica) are inclined to produce shorter plants with short internodes. Just like your WW. Other factors then affect, such as light intensity (if it is enough the plant does not need to elongate), air recirculation (same thing, if it does not feel there is a risk of mold it stays stockier) and also as "energy saving" (a stocky plant needs less energy). Seeing your journal, it looks beautiful like this!

Visceral look... you have powerful lights. Raise them a bit further next time. (or dim, but raising is better option cause you spread out light vs reducing light emitted... it'll help 'elsewhere' on plant but also waste a a fraction more too - more misses plant, more bounces off walls so more gets absorbed etc) Nutrients can be part of it.. some issues cause less internode spacing or smaller plant in general. your's look healthy though. With autos can also be genetics. Sometimes they are just runts (any plant) or the ruderalis genes are dominant (autos) .. so you get a double dip of that type of outcome. Can never be certain from afar, but a cursory inspection leds me to the light... FCE-series lights are strong. you can take advantage of increased co2 type powerful lights. So, raise them a bit, maybe reduce an hour or two off light cycle if that doesn't do it on its own. "Max" DLI is relative to a whole bunch of coinciding factors. When a plant is bombarded with more than it can handle per 24 hours, it doesn't grow tall. it's a reaction to protect itself. i have a FC4800. it is similar in intensity. i did this to some plants my first grow using it... shit happens. you have healthy plants... 90% certain this is the cause here with experience of doing it myself with similar equipment.
