Hello friends. I am going for my first grown next year my last grow didn't go so well and I lost it. My question for my next grow on a beginner level, what should I be using from soil to the nutrients? I used foxfarm and fish oil the last time and had it in a 5gl bucket.

Mandala Seeds have an excellent "grow guides" section on their website with LOTS of useful facts and information. If your grow doesn't improve after reading it, I will eat my hat! Otherwise........ Premium soil blends designed for vegetable and herb growing and if you are into organics and simple to use, Bio Vega and Bio Flores made by Bio Canna or Organic Grow and Organic Bloom made by B.A.C. are hard to go past,..........one bottle for veg and one bottle for flowering......super simple! I have used both these lines of nutrients for many years and can say the provide exceptional results. All these things may seem a bit expensive, but with the soil, it is THE most important thing, so don't skimp here, and the nutrients I suggested are very concentrated, so you don't need much and a bottle will last many, many plants or multiple grows. I hope this helps and good luck..........Organoman.

I like to use ProMixHP which has zero nutes in it but lots of nice mychorrizae for the roots... that way, I can give my plants the nutes I want when I want... Fox Farm can be difficult to regulate (I gave up on using them - too many nitrogen toxicities showed up)... Choose a line such as General Hydroponics so you can see the NPK ratios and make adjustments if necessary to what the feeding charts say... If you're growing autoflowers, don't give them any nutes at all for the first two weeks at least... then start them out at about 1/4 strength to see if they're going to tolerate them. Nute lines like BioBizz are frustrating because you have to do a lot of research to find out what the NPK is - and NPK is super important ... and I don't like some unknown entity telling me what my plant needs if they're not going to tell me what's in their stuff... Essentially, my words of advice for you would be: a) keep it simple - don't go for all sorts of amendments as that will most likely screw you up b) stick to ONE nute line - don't mix them up as frequently they won't interact well with each other - and too little is always better than too much c) pay very close attention to your pH levels... measure everything you give your plant to make sure the pH is between 6.0 and 6.5 (as you get into flower, you want that pH to be closer to 6.2) d) don't overwater (which is the state of being constantly wet), don't underwater (although this is preferable to overwatering), and finally e) relax... it's just a weed... and weeds actually LIKE to grow Good luck...

I personally use Fox Farm Happy Frog Soil, and you don't have to add any nutrients for the first few weeks after that I use Botanicare Cal-Mag Plus, General Hydroponics FloraMicro, General Hydroponics FloraBloom, it works for the whole grow cycle.

I use Fox Farm Ocean Forest in fabric pots. I soak a seed in water for about 24 hours. Then plant it directly into it's forever pot. How large a pot depends on your grow. The smallest I use are 11L (5gallon) but I get better yields with larger pots so I most often use 19L (5 gallon) fabric pots. A humidity dome over the seed and moistened soil can help by greatly reducing the watering needed for the first week or so. After your plant has sprouted you don't need any fertilizers for 2-4 weeks as the soil contains enough already. Then you can start using the fertilizer of your choice. I have had good luck with General Hydroponics products. I have used both the liquid BioThrive Bloom and Grow versions with supplemental cal/mag. Lately I have been using their Maxi series of dry powdered nutrients (MaxiGrow and MaxiBloom). I like the powdered formulas as they contain a amount of micronutrients and could minimize the need for additional cal/mag.

Hi! My advice is to start first of all with an auto flower :) Using biobizz products, less risk of over , usually i never check pH, and organic! ✓12-15L pot (5gal i think) ✓1/3 bottom all mix ✓1/3 middle all/light mix ✓1/3 top light mix Teorically you don't have to fert during all the grow Use only root juice in the first 2-3 weeks And maybe fish mix once-two times(3-7 week) I'm using 150W ts1000 from marshydro, starting from 25%(20cm) to 75%(40cm) last week, increasing 5% every week. With this metod i grown 3 different strain without problems :) If the plant eats a lot, few flowering fert may be necessary. Spray foliar with neem/soft soap 1once every 7-10 days 1-2 clip fan always on Keep the grow clean :) But most important Don't touch too much, let them grow :)
