Spotted leaves, Burnt tips, New grower please help!

Any ideas on what could be causing the issues on my leaves where there is spotting and burnt tips? I've been watching the pH and keeping it within what I was told is vegging, but the issue still seems to be happening. Do my roots look okay? Really at a loss at what it could be.

Ok. Hmmm... I think you're feeding her too much and don't have a good ratio between the 3 nutes (Grow, Micro, Bloom) ... I don't know how you are calculating your EC - my equation is this: (ppm/1000)*2 ... but using General Hydoponics Flora Series myself in DWC, at seedling stage you wanted to be giving them 1/4 tsp of each (my bucket contains 3.5 gallons of water but I do NOT multiply the dosage on the bottles by 3.5 - so it really ends up being 1/4tsp per 3.5 gallons!). In veg state, I give my ladies 1 tsp each of Grow, Micro and Bloom... I'm not sure what you're reporting in your diary is actually "per gallon" or whether you've tried to figure out what to report that accurately describes dosage per gallon (if you understand my meaning here... I mean, for heaven's sake, growing in DWC, accurate reporting of nutes used would be weird... like my dosage of 1/4 each would really be 0.25/3.5 which gives you an insanely small number)... Anway, you should be evening out those dosages so the three components are being given in equal amounts... That's the best for DWC in veg... As for EC, if you calculate it the way I do, in Week 2, the EC should be between 0.4 and 0.6... Week 3 should be between 0.6 and 0.8, Week4 between 0.8 and 1.0, Week 5 is 1.0-1.2, Week 6 and thereafter is 1.2... There's always some wiggle room - if your plants need a higher or lower EC and they're telling you that (the way yours is now), then listen to them... But right now, they're getting too much of the Grow and not enough of the Micro and the Bloom. When they get into bloom, you'll want to cut back on the Grow so that the ratio is 1 Grow, 2 Micro and 3 Bloom... and if you need to get the EC up, I always add more Micro and Bloom and leave out the Grow... Your pH is spot on so that's good... and your roots look magnificent! I'd start cutting back the Rapid Start or cutting it out altogether... believe me, grown well, the roots will soon start taking on the shape of the bucket and you'll be wondering if there's actually enough room in it for any water!! (mine has - and I only gave that plant 1 tsp of Rapid Start in Week 1)... Good luck.... what's so nice about DWC is that you can literally make changes instantaneously as soon as you see a problem crop up.... My recommendation to you is to do a bucket change - clean out your bucket with some H2O2, get fresh water in there, 1 tsp each of Grow, Micro and Bloom and adjust the pH ... she'll be a very happy camper!

PS - roots look great and healthy. GH makes a decent cal mag, but I prefer botanicare personally.. it’s what I used with GH trio when running DWC.

I’d bump up the micro just a bit personally.. maybe to 3.5 mil per gallon. Also get some cal mag. Especially if you’re using a clean water source like RO. Really a good idea to use regardless
