All went well in the germination process, 100 percent success rate per usual with Seedsman seeds. Dropped the seeds in spring water for 12 hours and then transferred into the paper towel method until the tap roots were a half inch or so. Then planted into solo cups of Jiffy starting mix and watered with RO water with about 150ppm of CalMag.

Kept them growing in the solo cups of Jiffy starting mix for a week to a week and a half or so watering just RO water with 150ppm of CalMag until they were big enough for a safe transplant into 5 gallon fabric pots.

Transplanted into 5 gallon fabric pots with equal parts ProMix Moisture Mix and Jiffy Starting Mix (about 3 small bags each), a bag of perlite, about 15-20 percent of 15 gallons of worm castings, some Dynomyco, and about 1.5 tsp per gallon of media of Down to Earth Vegetable Garden 4-4-4 and they loved it. Watering only with RO water and occasionally some CalMag mixed in maybe once a week as a boost as the 4-4-4 already has a source of both Calcium and Magnesium.

Flipped the light cycle to 12 hours a few days before these photos were taken but no pistils quite yet, was also about two weeks after transplanting into the 5 gallon pots so I decided it was time to top dress as we head into flower. Top dressed with 7 tablespoons of 4-8-4, 4 tablespoons gypsum for calcium and sulphur as the 4-8-4 doesn't have a significant amount of either, and a couple fresh scoops of worm castings all for each plant. Still watering 150ppm of Calmag about once a week or two as a boost/preventative. Also did a nice coating of Neem Oil this week as a preventative for pests and mildew.

All things looking happy and growing quickly. Not much has changed this week.. still waiting to see definitive pistils but so far not seeing any, by the looks of the stacking in the photos it should be any day now that the pistils pop. Simply watering when the top soil is feeling dry and keeping up with defoliation once or twice a week.

Only on 1 of 3 plants so far. On older growth after getting dose of Recharge the other day. Maybe an N problem as I also use 484? Or mag? Using CalMag every other watering in RO at 150ppm as the soil has some cal and mag. Also getting close to top dress time maybe something else?

Looks like early signs of a deficiency creeping in.. seeing as your using CalMag already i would say use it every feed but dont over go over the dose, I would add a NPK booster when in flower just to top up the other areas and see how she goes, Best of luck 🌱

Plants appear happy and have continued growing strong. Not sure what the spot issue was last week but it seemingly has not progressed after top dressing and some CalMag more frequently. Thin bladed new growth had me worried initially but they all seem to be okay.. assuming its just the sativa dominant genes causing the thin blades. Top dressed 10 tablespoons DTE 4-8-4 and 4 tablespoons gypsum per 5 gallon pot as well as a cup or so worm castings for each plant. Also did a dose of recharge this week.

Starting to gain more and more fragrance daily as well as nice bud development on 1 and 3.. 2 seems to either be behind a few days or will not be as densely structured. Continuing the same routine, watering with RO when top soil is dry with around 150ppm of CalMag to replenish lost nutrients as my tap is way to bad to not be using RO. Other than the CalMag with the regular waterings just a dose of Recharge this week as I will top dress more amendments this coming week.

Was doing research and what I found was either P excess, low humidity levels, light stress.. or just the Savita genetics? The plants are all in good health, growing fast and do not show any signs of deficiency aside from the skinny leaves forming. PH is fine, its living soil..

This is completely normal for some strains and quite common when flowering. It is thought that growing narrow leaves in flowering makes it easier for pollen to "find" the femalw flower pistils and aid in fertilization. It is not a nutrient, pH, temperature, humigity or lighting issue, just a normal occurence and nothing to worry about. I have grown dozens and dozens of plants that have done this exact thing when flowering and have come to expect it. Your plant is fine, there are no issues to be concerned over regarding the narrow leaves in flowering, it is a genetic function. Hope this helps, Organoman.

Everyone looks happy and healthy.. trichomes are beginning to form on all plants as well as the smell coming on nicely. Top dressed this week, just keep up on watering and watching them bulk up.

Ladies are bulking up, 2 still seems to be behind in terms of weight but maybe a little more trichome production than the other two for how far along she is. Having what I believe is calcium issues once again.. irregular brown spotting on fan leaves that are older at the moment. Almost all my grows have had this issue and like I said I believe its a calcium deficiency so I switched to dry organics in hopes of getting away from the spotting as well as using gypsum for a calcium boost but here we are again around the same time of flowering and the spotting is back.. maybe its an "LED" problem as some people have said in forums but at this point I'm unsure. I've used RO water in all my grows but have added calmag to supplement but maybe that's the issue.

Always pops up around the same time in flower.. week 4/5. Brown irregular spots and occasional curling down on the fan leaves. The only things I have consistently used in all the grows is the LED light, RO water, and CALiMAGic. Switched to dry organics but now its back. N toxic?

Nitrogen toxicity......... Rose and Flower Mix is for...........roses! For flowering cannabis you need something low in nitrogen, moderate phosophorous and high potassium.......everything "Rose and Flower Mix" is not. Get some cannabis specific nutrients and you will never have nutrition problems again....... Remember too, in soil it is a schedule of plain water/plain water/feed/plain water/plain water/feed........ Cal/mag is not the answer to EVERYTHING and adding liquid gypsum constantly will mess with pH too. There are further issues able to be caused by too much calcium btw.

Potassium Bicarbonate 1.302 mll
So as the pictures may be obvious the problem had gotten worse.. I did a slurry pH test as well as a runoff pH test and all plants came out in the low 5's.. according to research this could be a result of the organics breaking down, overwatering, and/or the original lime wearing out of the peat based medium which peat is already really acidic. Realistically all could be a in combination as to why the pH tests were so low. After doing some more research on how to quickly raise the pH of the soil I came across multiple articles/websites explaining Potassium Bicarbonate as a way to counter act the acidity in the soil essentially. 24 hours after applying the PB the pH in the one plant I tested had raised to about 6 even therefore I did the other two plants the next day. I chose to try the PB instead of Calcium Carbonate/Liquid Lime due to being deep into flower where the plants can benefit more from the Potassium boost and I have quite a bit of calcium in the soil mixture with the Gypsum and calmag I didn't want to over do the Calcium. I'm sure we will make it to harvest just fine but I feel I left a lot of potential out there by not monitoring more carefully.

Soil pH has increased back up to about 6.4 after the Potassium Bicarbonate drench last week but most affected leaves are not recovering to much. Buds seem to continue to swell as well as more and more smells coming from the tent daily. Happy with where we are but as I said in last weeks update I feel there is more potential for the next run. Will be sticking to the Down To Earth 444 and 484 for the next run with a more neutral media base like coco instead of peat to try and avoid these pH fallouts and compare results. For now.. coasting to harvest.

Just molasses this week and now plain water til harvest but.. the burning continues.. although I do believe the Potassium Bicarbonate saved the harvest from being much more burned up due to a soil pH fallout mid flower. Despite all the issues, the buds are looking amazing. Comparable in size to bottled nutrient nugs I've grown in the past but the smell and sticky-ness is much better I would say. Another grow to build on for the next one.

Nothing but plain water this week as the bulking has continued.. trichomes are cloudy and pistils are at least 60/70 percent red depending on the pheno. That tells me its about time to harvest. Also would like to get these ladies down to avoid any bud rot or mold in the larger buds as they are getting quite big and will hold much more water and have lost quality top buds before due to over flushing and the buds having to much water in them at the time of the actual chop and hang. Anyways, they look great I cant wait to give them a try.

Grow went very well, love the Blueberry-like characteristics in these plants compared to my Blueberry plants I grew from Seedsman. Will have to update on flavor after cure. Have been having some sort of issue mid/late flower and I do believe I have to much N in my water as I normally use GH Calimagic with Cal Nitrate in it til flush with RO but I believe that may also be the result of my low alkalinity buffer in my water allowing the pH swing late flower when the dolomite wears out of the peat based medium. Will be implementing many changes to test next run. But this one still produced good buds.
