Newbie into my 4th grow. Softball question...ppm on any feeding schedule... is the ppm meant to be with your starting tap ppm or is it starting tap plus Nutrient ppm? I normally go by sight and less than recommended, so I actually don't know the answer? Picture 450ppm total, tap+.

Hi Buddy. My tap water ppm is 200, right now ppm level for nuts is 700ppm. Don’t add too much nuts, it’s could harmful for plants. Have a nice growing!💚

I'm with GMSgrows here, you simply don't know what the ppm of your tap water is made up of - could be lead for heaven's sake! Measure the nutes...

the ppm is a measure of the solution is used to describe the quality of performance or concentration of a substance in a larger mixture. This could be used to describe contents in water alone or with nutrients. When you mesure the ppm of tap water, yo get the mineral content of the water (calcium, magnesium, etc) when you mesure the nutrient solution you get mineral content of the water + mineral and organic content of the nutrients (n,p,k, etc). Happy growing mate 👨‍🌾🏻🤝

You should always consider the waters natural pump. Best to filter it down or use reverse osmosis when the water is hard like that. This way you know what the plants are getting for feed. Unless you have an analysis of your water, you don't know what is making it so high in ppm
