Interested in opinions on where the gelato autoflower is at. Do you think it is a couple of weeks before I harvest? I didn't expect a lot of this as went on hols for a week and friend forgot to feed.

While there will always be few variations, you can use the following rules to better identify the harvest window of your plants according to the ripening stage of their trichomes: 1) When the bulbous heads of the trichomes are fully developed but still translucent, plants will produce a "high" and stimulanting effect, less sedative. It is the perfect moment to harvest strong Indica strains. 2) When these bulbous heads turn milky is probably the best moment to harvest most available hybrids. 3) When 70% of these trichome heads are milky and 30% amber, it is the perfect time to harvest mostly Sativa hybrids and long flowering strains (like Haze). It is also the best moment to harvest plants for making hashish.

I'm with Roberts here - I think you've got maybe a week or two left... keep checking the trichs and decide what you want from your smoke - head high will not have any amber trichs, head and body high will have 10-20% amber and couchlock will be up around 50% and the THC will start to degrade.. Good luck!

Trichomes look milky so you’re getting close. When the trichomes start turning amber, it’s time. Some people wait until 50% (or more) are amber. The amber trichomes give a more sedative effect so it depends what properties you’re looking for. If you want more energy, harvest earlier, if you’d prefer more couchlock or pain relief, wait longer.

Hard to say with that picture. Most pictures in week five look to be weeks away. One plant is getting close but still has at least a week. Would need a better bud shot or a higher zoom microscope picture to give a better guess.
