Light Green Color on Seedling Growth

ConnoisseursDelight
ConnoisseursDelightstarted grow question 2 years ago
This question is regarding the photo of the seedlings below. One of my seedlings is beginning to turn a bright green color in the center near the new growth. The other is staying a dark green and I am wondering what could cause this as they are both being cared for evenly.

Nothing to worry about, here. It's just two plants distinguishing themselves from one another. Cannabis plants have phenotypes. This means they each have slightly different genes, even though they have the same parents. A lot like humans. Take a brother and sister from the same parents and you'll see that they have different genetics, despite being from the same bloodline. Different eyes, hairline, height, build, etc. Well, cannabis plants are the same way. Phenotype hunting is actually the funnest part of growing for me. I like to pop a bunch of seeds, clone them, then put the clones into flower. If i like the genetics of one of the seeds enough, i'll keep it as a mother plant to do future runs with it. If i don't like it that much, i just stick the mother plant into flower and don't keep it around. It's just the way they are - new growth is normally a lighter green but at this age, I wouldn't read anything into the different colors... seedlings this age can be very weird indeed - some have strange colors, others have strange shapes... it means nothing! Relax and enjoy watching them grow!

Hey buddy, there's no problem at all ;) The new growth always looks more light green than the older parts of the leaves. Looking good, keep up the good work 💪
