That damage could be from not getting enough light, as well. A lot of my plants in the past have had this happen to their lower leaves because they are getting too much shade and not enough light. So, they would start doing this and then drop to the ground. This is why i try to lollipop as much as i think is safe. Then, if the lowest leaves are still doing this, i know i didn't lollipop enough.
But, all in all, i agree with my growmies on this.
