Cutting stems on auto plants?

torgul2000

Here my biggest question for auto flowers as it’s my first auto flower session indoor… and under led lamps. Should I make some place under the plants where light cannot go ? Or have I to let the plant grow up whiteout cutting stems ?. Some won’t receive any light (see pics)

Hey there... the answer is defoliate!! Currently doing the same autoflower grow 19 plants topped and totally fan leaves removed for better light penetration to lower buds. Also lollipopped them all. They are ruderals!! Responds well to stress ;just feed accordingly. Also defoliation helps lower humidity! So go for it in weeks 4 to 6 in autos. It works great. Hope that helps.

You can still gently tie branches were you want them to go or trim or tuck .grow them horizontal next time works way better gets rid of atypical growth, lots of more even colas instead one big top that has more chance bud rot

You can defoliate/prune autos best time to start doing this is week 2 or 3 after the stretch pruning can redirect the energy as well as defoliate the lower half for the same effect!

Are you talking about doing some defoliation? Yes, this is perfectly fine and quite sensible if you need to get light down to the lower buds... I wouldn't treat an indoor grow differently than an outdoor grow in that regard... actually, the sun can penetrate the canopy a LOT better than LED lights - so lighten it up! :-D Good luck...
