Budged freeze driers

Are there any freeze driers available for home growers that would not be crazy expensive ? Anyone has any other alternatives to offer ? I would really want to try smth like Harvest right or Cannatrol, but have no opportunity to purchase now.

technically a no-frost freezer could work, but the temp fluctuations are a potential problem.
cannatrol isn't a freeze dryer.
if you want something for curing.. look into "Thermoelectric" wine coolers...
it is important it is a thermoelectric type and not one with a condenser.
you may need to seal them up a little better and you'll have to put enough 67-gram 2-way humidity packs to maintain the RH% relative to mass of bud inside. BUT, it'll be 1/3rd theh price of a cannatrol... and as you look around you'll realize the cannatrol is just a modified wine cooler for 00 BWAHAHAHAH they are making about 500-1000% profit margin on that thing.

Tips/advice for first time drying/curing? Did lots of research, looking for anything people overlooked or wish they knew their first time.I know I dont have the ideal conditions (80f 45rh) for drying, but it’s how its going to be as a humidifier and air conditioner for my grow space isnt in the budget atm. I have mason jars and boveda 62% humidity packs. Any other tips I should know for my first time?

HAY SMELLBuds smelling a bit like hay/wet grass! what's weird is that the fat main tops are "crispy" and smell sweet and fruity but the smaller buds are still wet and smell like hay. On day 13 of drying 60%rh 72°F. The bigger stems are starting to snap but the smaller ones only bend??

What would you advise I do with my harvest/dry/cure?I got 2 weeks untill I am away for 2 weeks. Should I start flushing now and harvest it next week so she can start curing while I am away for 2 weeks I have no one to mind it or help me out so she will be unattended for 2 weeks and I don't want to fuck up my buds.5y ago

1)drying the whole plant fan leaves & all
2) drying the whole plant with only fan leaves removed
3) wet trim, cutting each branch off separately & then hang drying

Once again I must ask, is it ready for harvest?Pistols are anywhere from 60-80% orange depending on the cola, and the trichomes are mixed, I see some clear, I see milky and I see amber.We're mid week 8 of flower as well. If it's close enough should I ice the pot and start my 2 days of darkness now?

Are these ladies ready for harvest? (2 wks beyond recommendation)Should I harvest now or wait a week? Think Different Sativa is 11 wks to harvest and I am at wk 13. Still seeing new buds/pistils and straight white pistils. Around 40-50% brown hairs and cloudy trichomes but no amber. Using Coco/Perlite in 4 gallon autopot. 76F/47%RH. No flush.

How do I stop the fresh cut grass smell?I have done a couple of grows but keep getting the fresh cut grass smell instead of that nice smell. Am I cutting down to early?
