Timing a 7d flush — will it over-ripen if I begin flushing when it's ready for harvest and keep it for 1 more week on flush juice?

I don't flush, I feed till the end. Flushing is bro science. Only need for it is if you overfed or trying to correct a nutrient issue. There's actually a study they did on flushing, article below. flushing would slow ripening, not increase the pace of it. If the plant doesn't have enough building blocks stored in leaves, it'll only have a negative effect. don't fret over this. it does not impact what constitutes a flower in any way. don't overfeed. don't underfeed. it's a simple thing to do. if you really want to do it, it's just a matter of familiarity. you'll get better at knowing when there is ~7 days remaining, give or take. pay attention. take some notes if necessary about state of development. you'll find something to use as a trigger.

It's gonna depend on strain and how far you're pushing them. I've had some strains that never seemed to go amber and I've had some that push amber fast.

Too late once they are ripe for harvest, leaving them another week while you flush will alter the maturity levels beyond what you were expecting. Start a "flush" once the plant has about 95% brown pistils and harvest about 2 weeks later once the plant has about 98-99% brown pistils. This will be when the plant will have 10-30% amber trichomes anyhow. You don't need to drown your plants with gallons of water for a "flush", just stop all fertilizers and nutrients and give just plain water in normal amounts and at normal intervals for the last 10-14 days before the expected harvest date and the plant will flush itself naturally. No need to buy any sort of over priced "flushing" additives/snake oil, plain water will do everything that is required.

It will be close, you might end up with more amber trichomes by the end of your process but that is 1000x better then chemical laced bud. In my opinion id rather have couch lock then chokey unsmokable weed. Watch your trichomes and make your decision. Good luck

Hey there I know things can be overwhelming and hard to decide what todo. Personally when I start to see about 25% of the hairs change on the whole plant that's usually a good indicator that the plant only has 1 to 2 weeks left. I like to stop giving nutrients about that time. Usually after I stop giving nutrients every time inwater after that I give a little extra water to do small flushes. Then when plant looks ready to harvest I will give it a good flush and then I wait till the soilnisnsupwr dry and then I harvest
