is there any other thing you've done or changed lately in regard to the browser, internet settings, normal settings, registry edits etc? group policy changes? any fiddling with internet connection properties?
I clear my cache and delete all cookies everytime my browser shuts down, so this is unlikely the cause.. I've never had a problem with firefox like what your screenshot.
try removing chrom and all settings, restart fresh. save your bookmarks and other stuff you want to keep.. can likely export them or google for a how-to to locate file and make a copy.
