Feeding

Given I mix nutrients with water; how much do you give them compared to your pot I.e 3L = 300ml or 10%. I’ve also been informed you need to feed just water every 2 or 3 feeds. I want a steady schedule that can be tweaked accordingly

Hello StokieNick, water between 10 - 20% from the pot volume. In your case I would give 500 ml each time. Let the top inch of the soil dry out completely in between waterings to prevent overwatering. I do prefer the water-feed-water-feed schedule where you just give water with the right pH in between feedings. This to prevent nutrient lockout and nutrient burning. Also water till 20% runoff occasionally for the same reason (once in the 2 weeks). Enjoy your grow!

I’m following the shogun chart but was advised to use the lower end of the scale. Being a complete novice, if I feed my plants (for example) today with a good 20% or so run off. Is tomorrow a completely dry day (nothing whatsoever) excluding just spraying the leaves with water in the down time OR do I again feed my plants with run off BUT ONLY USING WATER. By the way guys, thanks so much for your advice but I’m a complete beginner so please bear with me.

I agree it will be different every time you water. some plants drink more, do the runoff method if using synthetic nutrients and in a soil less medium. Good Luck!

No there’s just not. It depends how much moisture is left in medium when you feed. It’s going to change. You’re in coco so you need to achieve runoff to keep things healthy. It’s simple as that just feed til you have some decent amount of runoff thru the bottom. And you absolutely do NOT feed only every 2-3 times with coco. You feed every time you water. This is the way

Also, that 5-700ppm is the upper your plant will need and its highest requirement. As you're using zym and another enzyme you'll be surprised at how much they'll cut the need of your base nutrients as they help with nutrient uptake. Resulting in needing less base. Ml/l can have dif affects on TDS/PPM depending on your nutrients used is For instance.. Jungle juice trio from AN only needs a small amount to bring up your ppm ( but ppm is just that ppm) and it doesn't change with nutrients to your plant. But a drop of AN will give the same ppm that 3ml/l of alga grow give similar ppm. So, I wouldn't be to worried about ppm as its all irrelevant as all nutrients ml/l have dif values.

3ml / 300ml????? That's like 9.3ml/L What Ml/l you're giving is good. The zyme is too low, unless they its recommended you only need a small amount. Also. Calmag at this stage. Is not really needed. Its just an extra nutrient your plant is trying to uptake when it should be focusing on pushing npk. So, drop your cal mag or feed once every 10 days or so. As for the 2-3 days of feeding. I feed 2 low tds feeds a week (6 days) in normal conditions.. now I'm feeding every 2nd day. With water each day With reg environment. Feed and then water water feed water water feed. You'll find what works for you in soil Your ppm/tds (tap not included) should not need to go beyond 5-700ppm so if your tap is 150ppm than it will do best in the area of 650-850ppm 1.2-1.7EC. If you need help growing and figuring out your best course. Feel free to mes anyone here who answers myself included, (anytime) Good Growing
