Yes it will survive. Not sure if you are supplying any silicate but it helps in this situations so think of adding it if possible because it strengthens branches. I've had a similar situation last grow where I broke a branch off leaving it attached by only 30%, tied it with the main stem with a string (so it helps to hold it up) and it kept growing till the end. The worst part about this is that you have exposed the inner-parts of your plants so try to be extra careful with bugs and pests because your plant is a bit more prone to sickness.
