go soilless. take the guessingn out of the entire equation. low-ec product like promix isn't bad either. ~1-1.3EC in the bx/hp type products at essentially the same ratio as common Ag-brand fertilizers (not marijuana brands.. they suck a dick 9 out of 10 times). science-based ratios work better. proof is in the pudding. if you stick with a soil grow, it's best to be consistent with what you buy... or, you have to re-learn what you need to supplement, what runs out faster than other stuff as you go etc etc... the constitutents of the soil will be different requiring different strategy over time... the later stages will likely be the same, as you start to rely almost fully on the fertilizer after 6-8 weeks even with a hot soil to start.
