nah man no need to start with smaller pots.you just need to experience better watering sessions.overwatering is one freakin common problem.you should just let the soil dry out before next watering.it hurts the plant if you don't take precautions but since you are reading this message, you can let the pot dry before watering again and keep it this way for a week, you'll see the results.just let the roots get some oxygen and itll be fine

With autos you usually want the pot you plant them in to be their final homes. The first 2 weeks I give around 2ml of water around the root zone. Less is better when it comes to cannabis. This will allow you to keep that little girl hungry but healthy without watering the whole medium. Once they get their 2 to 3rd nodes I usually then bump the watering to a half a cup then a cup and so forth. You just need to adjust your watering habits by the her size/needs. Use the lift pot method and see how she feels before you water her vs when shes wet. Hope that helps!

I've done soil, soilless, and aerated pure water nutrient solution.. the one that has given me the least problems so far is a stand alone Deep water culture.. very clean, few pests, and the chemistry is much easier to manage.. so to answer your question, I'd go larger, like a 5gal pail for each plant, and water solution balanced to 1000-1200 ppm and a pH of 5.7+/- .1 totally black pails, or, a 70L tub for 6 shorter SOG spacing.. cheers! Don't have these thoughts yet man! You still have many weeks to go, could be a monster. It's in the next few weeks where you'll see some explosive growth happening!
