Trimming/Defoliation late vegetation, just before flip to 12/12?

I'm unsure about trimming/defoliation at this point: What's the goal for just before switching to 12/12? I've read to veg until your height is 1/2 to 1/3 the final height supported by the setup. I seem to have plenty of room still. How much do I trim under the canopy?

if you're just before the switch to the flowering stage (12/12), focus on the following specifics: Undercanopy Trimming: Trim the lower branches and leaves that won't receive much light in the flowering stage. This directs energy to the top canopy. Remove Large Fan Leaves: Take out any large fan leaves that are shading potential bud sites in the lower and inner parts of the plant. Maintain Airflow: Ensure good airflow by removing excess foliage in the undercanopy. This helps prevent humidity-related issues. Avoid Over-Pruning: Be cautious not to over-prune, as you still want the plant to have enough foliage for photosynthesis and energy production. Top Canopy Focus: Concentrate on opening up the top canopy to allow light penetration and airflow for the main bud sites. Remember, the idea is to strike a balance between removing excess foliage and maintaining enough leaves for the plant's overall health. Keep an eye on how the plant responds and adjust accordingly.

Hi! Before switching to flowering period, remove only the leaves from the main branches. Then wait after the stretch (~2 weeks) before removing more leaves and do a bit of lolloping (remove the little branches and weak flowers at the bottom of the plant). After that, simply maintain the canopy by cutting off the largest leaves to keep it light and airy. Don't cut leaves with stems less than 2cm long.

The bottom 1/3rd of half. You want any nodes that won't recieve direct sunlight removed. As you have plenty of room, allow them to grow for 2 more weeks. This is dependent on strain, if sativa or if breeder says it has a high level of stretch. Then you may need to flip now. It's strain dependent. I run autos, but my sour stompers grew 4x their size when they hit flower. The breeder did list this though so I was aware. I also listed and showed pics of my defoliation on my diary. Search my sour stomper diary and hopefully it will help you. I was terrified of removing half the leaves. But it helps more then it hurts I promise. Goodluck Please consider selecting me as the answer so I can be entered for a chance to win grower of the month contest I would really appreciate your support growmie 😃 🙏

I would take the leaves off and then wait another two weeks and then set the 12/12

I wait till she has started stretching some before you worry about the under side. Usually 2 to 3 weeks into light change us a good time to get last decent defoliation, and under side cleaned out. I would just defoliate the center a bit to provide more light inside at your current stage.

3 dimensional -- vege until plant is 1/3 to 1/2 the size you want it to be by the end. shoot for 1/2 as this has more room for error. can't manifest missing growth, but you can trim something down to fit.
