Training Wedding Cake for Indoor Grow?

Hokey

What's your favorite way to train wedding cake for an indoor grow? Trying to decide for sure which method to use. The plants are just starting to develop their 5th node. Was thinking main-lining, but I'm open.

Just top it once . Then train the branches down bush her out. I've mainlined and it's a long process you are adding weeks into veg time as they need more time to recover. Topping once and using LST to bush them out is the perfect balance I think. If you are short for time you can always just LST no need to top. But that topping once does create a more uniform plant .

Main lining is a long training: you top your plant, leaving one node, wait for the branches to grow few nodes, cut again, and again, and again… For every varieties I grow, I like to do only one topping (nodes 2 & 3) and I keep the removed part as cutting (so I can grow exactly the same plant several times if I really like it). The plant grow fairly quick, with 4 main colas and several latterals branches. ^^
