Looking to top all three and potentially manifold at least one of these plants. Only concern is I just transplanted them in tuesday. They look great but I just want to make sure they are out of the woods on transplant shock before i start hacking away at them.

If they are not showing stress after 4 days they are probably OK to top.

Which node is number 1 When counting nodes for the first topping, which node is number 1? The cotyledons? First single serrated leaf? 1st 3 fingered leaf? I'm counting pairs of leaves as those are where the nodes are, just not sure which to count as number 1. Personally, i say first 3 fingered leaf

Topped the same way with 2 different results?? First time grower I tried to top 2 plants in the same way but one main shoot stopped growing, but the other had two new growths come right out of the old stem, as well as 2 bushier side stems. Topping In Tiny Places I’ve been topping my autos in a 3.8 sf stealth cabinet religiously at the 20ish day. In hydro that is around node 6-7. Would topping earlier giving the speed of growth that hydro provides, say at 3-4 node, make the plant less bushy and easier to manage? Ideas for tiny places?
