Is my Northern Lights auto starting its blooming phase yet? It's showing a slight increse in quantity of pistils but I'm on week 9 of veg and am confused as to why I don't see budding happening yet. I have this in the same room as my TD auto which is doing very well.

These pics are not close enough... do you have pistils at terminal? preflowers? some autos are not "autos" due to contamination of the wrong pollen or just bad breeding practices. 9 weeks is an awful long time and borderline point where you simply just assume it is a photoperiod. BUT, if you see pistils at terminals, it's in flower. as far as teh stretching you mention in diary, as long as you are giving 35-40 DLI, it's probably just normal stretching for that strain. some are lanky by default, some are not. Greater variety in genetics when you work with autoflower strains.

you can only know in hindsight with autoflowers.. the biology inside the plant changes before you can see it. So, when you see preflowers that have actually devleoped and identifiable, it went into flower 7-10 days before that point. Maybe 10-14 days before you see pistils all over at nodes and terminals? It's a total guess if relying on what we see with autos. i'm assuming an auto goes into flower fast enough that preflowers do not develop before flower phase. the 10-14 guestimate also depends on a typical 60 days +/- flower phase. Growth rates not no different in autos. You get the same spectrum of slow to fast. The difference is the trigger for flower phase. That's it. they aren't magical plants in any other way. if one is flowering faster, it's simplly faster (less "vege" phase) to flower or a faster developer in flower. A little deductive reasoning based on how it plays out can better resolve which it is.

I dont think it started to flowering. I guess she needs something to lead her toward. In your previous grow answer I adviced to switch lighting to 12/12. U can also try with 24/0 or 0 for 16-24 hrs. It can be also really hard one so being patience would be enough. Hope it will start soon, u must be frustrated... Bless
