Question about the contests...

Yes you can as long as the contest is still active. Some contests allow you to withdraw when they are choosing thr winners after its done, if you hit it at that point you can not reenter. Look at time remaining when doing this. With the monthly reoccurring contests like photo POTM, diary DOTM and meme MOTM, you hit withdraw and it removes your entries. Monthly Diary and Photo contests you can only have one entry, but with meme you can have up to 10 last I checked. Another way of withdrawing only one meme from the contest vs all of them with the withdraw button is to delete the meme image in the diary its linked to and it will be removed from the meme contest. Grower of the month aka GOTM, the last monthly reoccurring contest is different, you need to answer questions ‘like this one you asked’ and you get points if they are linked to a diary, you are automatically entered into that one when you get points, hitting withdraw removes all your points, however if you keep answering questions or some picks your answer after you withdraw you are reentered into the contest without your previous points. One last note on DOTM and POTM, once the contest is finalized, you can not use the same photo or diary again in any other DOTM or POTM contests. Any other contest has its own rules, read em they are posted in the contest wall, same thing enter n withdraw as you please.
