Harvest or not?

Bruce Bugbee was asked about the 48 hour darkness theory and he said it didn't make sense because the plant can not produce anything without light energy. So the theory that 48 hours of darkness will somehow cause stress and the plant to produce more resin, is hogwash. He said it would make more sense to give the plants 48 hours of constant light.

These "bro science" guys crack me up. Like one more light cycle is going to make any dramatic difference in the plant one way or another. I don't necessarily think a 24 hour dark period is required but I do like to chop before lights come on. I'll turn my light off end of day the day before. Photosynthesis increases osmosis(aka water demand) and I'd rather cut when that's at it's lowest. It could all "be in my head" but I find it better in the end. You do you "bro".

They have since proven that 24hr lights off is all “Bro Science” and can actually have a negative effect in trichome production since our plants actually produce trichomes to protect itself from light. I would keep doing what you are doing for a little while longer. It’s really a matter of preference for how much amber you are after.

Yep very close, you can harvest now or in the next week. Darkness doesn't do anything as organoman said.

I would say another 5-7 days for the full effect. 24 hours of darkness is bs ghetto science........it does not do anything magical. You could harvest now/very soon if you prefer the clear type of head high over the heavier type of stone.
