Hello. Can you tell me how to properly adjust the nutrition for plants after partial defoliation at the beginning of flowering? Should I lower the dosage, and if so, by how much?
Hey @ Rasta_Faraev!
You should reduce it just a little. For example if you are using 2ml/L of growing solution, you can decrease it to 1.8-1.7ml/L. Just depending on how much did you defoliate.
Have fun over there, they look great for me.
I agree I feel like if you defoliate you’re plants are gonna be stressed working harder and need more nutrients . I grow knf so after something like that I would hit it with my whole tool bag in foilar form . I don’t like to much defoliation in flower unless you have to for temp reasons cleaning up the bottom is a must thought
So generally at the begening of flowering you don't low the nutrients dosage but you increased it because the plants needs are more important during the 2 first weeks of flowering.
Take a look at my coco grow , my ph is always 5.8 ( it is the sweet spot in coco ) and my last feeding Ec was 2.45 without harming the plants so you can use an higher dosage than what you think as long as you control your water runoff Ec and Ph
Defoliation shouldn't make it to where you need to correct your nutrition. I think the stress your seeing is coming from your ph being kinda low. Try bringing it up between 6.0-6.5 this should correct the problem.
