I would not do that its too strong. In seedling stage i would give it a neutral low nut soil to make it eager to explore for nutes and develop them roots
It’s not as big of a concern being that your running photos rather than autos. That said I usually go until there’s 3ish nodes and plenty of roots visible on the drainage hole at the bottom. Sometimes I’ll pop it out of the cup and check and decide by the look of the root structure.
jus a bit of overwatering combined with the point of the lifecycle it's at. At this stage most of the action is happening in the soil not outside . nothing to worry about, just transplant when you're ready... or do the solocup challenge :-) hope this helps ! 🚀
transplanted a few days early probably. when doing so, most of the root base got compromised. almost as if I was to top the root system. assuming it will be ok... def looks stressed . how long should it take me to know if she's ok or not. been about 18hrs
Hey there again HiddenMessage, so when talking about the root mass itself, especially with small plants there's a few things to consider. First off the plant is extra sensitive, even the oil from your hands can kill off a seedling if it's young enough. for the root mass itself though, you want to imagine what's happening in nature : microbes and bugs are constantly "attacking" the root system and this actually helps the root system develop. In my experience as long as you dont cut more than 20% of the root mass off then the plant will actually thank you. Root pruning is totally a thing in hydro , you remove the tips of the roots with a scissor . So hopefully, as long as nothing bad got on the roots, and the roots didnt loose any more than like 15% of their mass , the plant will have experienced shock but it will totally recover in a week or so. plus remember : at this stage most of the action is happening under the soil, so you just have to be patient. If you're really worried , try adding humic acid which should reduce the transplant shock from a week to only a day or so. Hope this helps ! 🚀
transplanted the watermelon and it was a lil too early. the root structure kinda fell apart but it doesn't look dead 24 hrs later. waiting to switch the others til I'm ready to water. Hoping this week I get all them in there final homes and we can start the growing.
when using a 4x4x7 tent , will two 10gal planters be able to fill up the entire tent if I veg for close to 10 weeks or more if needed.? or will the planters not be big enough for a 10 week veg and 10 week flower? should I just use 3? trying to get 1lb a plant atleast
Hello hiddenmessage. Yes you can do it with 2 plant. More space you give them and more space they will take and if you top them to have many main branches they will get more big . more you want to make a long veg 10 weeks so they will have time to fill the space. Strong start for GDP and watermelon zkittl. Last one should pop open today or tomorrow and is 2 weeks behind but with 10 weeks veg on the others , 8 weeks veg should be plenty for her.
healthy toddlers growing up fast. prob gonna top watermelon some point this week, hopefully GDP also. washing the scrog net and getting prepared for the next part of this life cycle.

kinda stagnant week imo but surely before week 10 we will be healthy and big before flower. they have been healthy but I overwatered once which slowed down a little . overall healthy and ready to thrive

In terms of root space. With a 10 gal grow container. What is the longest comfortable time to veg and have plenty of room for roots during a 9 week flower? Will I be good at 10 weeks veg? or is 10 gal not big enough for this long?
Had a slow week . overwatered than didn't water but they are doing great after the stressful week. flower in about 3 weeks . Might top some extra branches to see how that goes.
Going well this week. Plants are thriving now. 2 weeks of veg left and hope these girls are monsters. smell is starting to become noticeable all times of the day. Long story short , LFG!!!

Temp has been all over the place. and I didn't use nutes last watering. so the mix of the 2 has caused them to wilt and look yellowish. keeping lights on 24 hrs a day for few days cuz its way to cold for lights out. lights on temp is barley 69-70. pretty sure they can survive these few days. once they back to normal ill give a few days then switch to flower. excited but slightly worried bout these days.
Yeah I would wait til in flower cuz they don’t look very big right now and you’ll have an idea of how much they’re gonna stretch and what’s gonna be larf and what won’t.. anything way down on the bottom you can pluck off now tho
last week was rough because of weather being cold. had to switch light to 24 hrs a day. last week of veg than will switch to flower. plants have been underwtaered I found out because I'm too worried to overwater but I got it now. doing much better last couple days. all smell great but wish they was a lil bigger . still hoping to get close to half lb on each plant.
If your pressed for time you could switch them, If you really need to.
Ideally your canopy should be 90% covered and your right now yours is maybe 50% - maybe another 2 weeks with some LST will get you around 65-70%
Twist and wind them branches under the mesh and realize the plants will start to stretch in the first few weeks after switch and help fill the space up faster.
The plants have seemed to stall in growth from the last few weeks of updates.

Depends what you’re asking exactly.. they’ll have levels of ethylene before 12/12 is initiated (assuming you’ve vegged at least 4-6 weeks)..
But it takes a few nights of 12 hours of darkness for them to actually initiate flowering in my experience.. but the signs won’t be evident for 10 days or so..
Stretching usually starts after 5-10 days from flip..
Then you’ll get clusters of pistils/stigmas around 14-21 days in.
This is all relative to how long you’ve vegged like I mentioned earlier in post.
Less than 4 week old plants do not have enough of the hormone ethylene to even begin the process of flowering.. so for a fast trigger into flower it helps to have vegged around 6-10+ weeks.
plants healthy , prob biggest ones I've had yet but curious if I will get the amount I hoped for. should have done lst early and often. the height doesn't go up fast per week because I keep scroging but ima let it ride now . this week should start to see flowering take place .. lfg
Should start to see some fattening up and growth in flowers . hoping to have some decent sized buds on some of these colas. started a new grow to follow right after this one so excited bout that but just hoping nothing unexpected happens and we harvest in peace.
I've heard of a preflower flush when you switch to 12/12 but otherwise if your numbers are stable, PH EC going in and coming out, then I would not worry about it.

defiantly looking and smelling very nice. the runtz and gdp look similar. runtz smells jus like runtz , its actually crazy. gdp smells heavy and more sour . watermelon smells sweet but not like watermelon. hoping its a 8 weeker not a 10 .but I think 10 jus want to smoke.
Nothing bad, these are "trace elements" and the plant will not take up more than it needs, they can not burn the plant, just make sure to not give any more for double the length of time as what your normal dosing schedule has been, that is, if you have been giving cal/mag once a week, don't give any for two weeks.
solid week again. the runtz is by far the best one I've grown yet. smells and looks amazing in person. the other 2 are very stinky also and very healthy but just a few points lower. thinking maybe 3-4 more weeks and ITS TIMEEE!!!!!
runtz is fire. other 2 seem to be slight behind in maturity. phattening up everyday . gonna start flushing sometime soon. always get here and wish I could fast forward a few weeks but we close

chopped a nice nug. 5g off the plant . what's fastest way to dry and how long it takes? not worried bout taste or anything . I could stick back in the tent under light to dry it out or any other idea?
noticed my air flow was cut off for 12 hrs. input and output and fan inside. risk of mold growing from this? watered hrs before it happened so pretty moist. or maybe they will be complete fine? noticed the air flow had stopped because I could smell the stale air.
Hey bro. Nah, they'll be fine. If it were serious and air-flow was completely cut off your plant would be near death. It takes prolonged high RH and even with high RH you can still do a grow once you have decent air cir. Keep the windows off your tent and if this happens again you will massively decrease the probs that can happen from sudden air cut off. 12hrs is nothing to be worried about if your plants bounced back they'll be just fine buddy. say you are pretty close to harvest. and you cut down a single nug that all the way freshly trimmed is 13 g. what weight do you typically find the dry weight to be? 7g? 5?
You generally lose 60-70% of weight depending on the bud, and how dry u like it. I like mine a bit drier than most pple so my buds weight a bit less, but ive never lost buds to mold and can store em for 6 months without burping and they still fine so its works for me.
That should be a solid 5-6 gr bud when dry.
think runtz is pretty close to harvest. hope sometime this week. the other 2 might have a week more.. wanting to water with just water to make sure I complete flush before harvest. but lfg, this week than I got bud.
