To LST or No LST?

Does practicing LST on autoflowers actually increase your yield? I ask this because I look at people who grow without any training at all and they seem to have way more bud sites. I prefer an answer from someone who has experience growing both ways. Thanks

I tried LST on my first grow of autoflowers..it gave me the lowest yield out of all my grows. I don't do it anymore. My experience with autos are that they go into flower so quickly that anything you do with LST or pruning slows the growth and you get less. I grew 2 plants one LST and one without...the one without was a half ounce heavier at harvest

Look at the room you have the condition your plant is in if it needs it bend and trim to expose the bud sites, opening up the bud sites to light definately works after its done you can see in a few days they push there way through sometimes i tie them down if there a bit long remove shade leaves to expose buds to light is ok in nature leaves get broken of so the plant is used to things like that happening

Hi. The Goal in using LST to expose the most possible Part of the PLant. iF THE Plant grows indoors in natural shape you cant expose all budites to the Light. With LST you expose abig number. Doing a SCROG you can expose the Most of the Budsites. The Goal is to open the Canopy and let the LIght penetrate, so the Buds can swell . LST is a very Soft method to increase the Size of your Buds, and helping them to maturate evenly. LST is abasic tool. It can be combines with other Methods like Topping and supercropping etc. In my Experience all PLnats respond very well to LST if its performed in the Right stage of grow ( from around Week 3 of vegetation until around end of second week in flower)
