The tying position looks good. You want to attach to something strong enough to do what you want. It looks like you are using fabric pots. I use a soldering iron or heat a nail in a flame and then use the hot nail to melt a series of holes around the top of the fabric pot. They are perfect for attaching wires or string for training the plant. I also fill the pots much more than you have. Over the course of a grow my soil level drops about 5-8 cm so I start by filling the pot almost to the top. I also like using wire. It is easier to make small adjustments and there is no tying. Many nurseries and online sell wire just for this job. It has a thick, squishy rubber coating so it doesn't hurt the plant and can be reused many times. I also have used pipe cleaners.

The only bad thing you can do while LST training is snap a branch. It looks secure and it shouldn't do damage there. But I'd lay it over more in my personal practice. I also believe in heavy defoliation, heavy LST, topping, fimm, mainline/manifold, or even with the right strain untrained completely. It's all about the Genetics and how the plant handles what you throw at her. I got a grow diary with a LST and multi topped autoflower. OG Diesel Kush autoflower. Just practice and see what you like. I also have a Harlequin Feminized doing a mainline/manifold and a RP Skywalker Kush that got fimmed topped and light LST and HEAVY defoliation. It's my long term plant.
