Male or female

I haven't cultivated for 8 years, I came back this month. In the first photo, can you see a small bract forming, indicating that she is female? And in the other 3 photos, do they look like balls formed or about to form? I don't want to waste time with males, and afraid to kill F

Too small or blurry to tell for certain. You can probably remove one of the nubs (Between stupile and axillary bud) and then gently split it open. With magnification you'll clearly see a hairy pistilx2 or a bunch of nanners inside. Or, wait a few more days and it'll become obvious with the naked eye long before a pollen sac can mature and open up. the fact it isn't prjecting out on a twig is good sign (male growth). But, also looks like the 'envelope' is segmented like a pollen sac would be in 4th picture. (The way it splits open at maturity gives it a distinct outer envelope by comparison to a calyx's) Regardless, you have plenty of time to figure it out with zero repercussions. i'd be 100% certain before trashing anything.

Yeah ok, your diary shows you’re 4 weeks in. It’s a bit early for her to show gender still. And other 2-3 weeks and she should show herself.

A bract isn’t an indication of a female. Both male and female plants produce bracts. Calyx and stigmas are the clear indicator that a plant is female. Or pollens sacks to indicate male. I don’t see any definitive visual cues for gender. It’s probably still a bit early to tell on this plant.

Can’t really tell from the pictures could be all femal, would give a couple more days to identify, no need to rush things. Male preflower developes much quicker than femal. Since you are in veg there is no danger of potential pollination. If male it will develop a tiny stem where the ballsack will hang from. When this stem developes, you can be completely sure about it
