This is my first auto. Its in a multipurpose compost with added john innes nutrients. Started some discolouration. On the edges of some are going brown. I feel this is not enough nutrients. While i also have brown tips. That signals to me to many nutrients. Confused.

Could be salt build up or over feed. Autos do require less in most cases, however the discoloration on leaf edges and spotting on leaves reminds me of calcium deficiency. The yellowing from new leaves center out looks like could be iron deficiency. No diary so can only guess. You using any cal mag? I agree check ph and runoff. If ok, maybe add some cal mag with iron. General hydroponics makes a good one I've used. Best of luck and Happy Growing!

Little brown splotches, sometimes if the medium has a little too much salt build-up the pla t can inadvertently suck up some sodium molecules, salt being highly alkaline it burns the surrounding area. Looking at the location of dmg on leaves also tells. Yellowing starts on tips furthest point from critical meaning the plant is purposely putting the burn as far away from the interveins. (Critical) First and foremost ph check, run off. Will check your diary in more detail and get back.
