How to count weeks?

I typically do the germination process and the first week of life. Then when I start the first week of vegetation I label it week 2. I do this because if you do the germination process and end that and start week 1 of veg, when your diary is shown on your page it will say 2 weeks and I find that a bit misleading. Not necessarily misleading but if I’m in week 4 I don’t want my diary to be showing 5 weeks on my page. Just like when you do a harvest, GD adds a week even if it’s not a new week. Have a look at my Helena or Ophelia diaries. This is how I do it. But like the others said, it’s your diary and you do it however you see fit. Everyone has their own style of how they do their diaries. The more detailed you are with things the better, because if you run into problems and require some guidance, it will give more experienced growers the ability to examine your diary and come up with a possible cause of problem and come up with solutions. Your diary your rules.

its up to you and how you want to do your diary. For myself I use the germination week for anything that happens before the seed pops the soil. Soaking, prepping media, exct. then once it pops. that is day 1 and 7 days = a week. so I am always posting one week of updates from the previous 7 days. After the plant is chopped that is my harvest, I will normally wait about 2-3 weeks before populating the harvest after my last entry. as it takes time to dry and trim. Others will do it differently as long as you have a system and it works for you its good.

It really doesn't matter either way, whatever makes the most sense for you.
