I decided to give growing weed a go. I always loved Gorilla Glue, so obviously this strain was gonna be my first choice :) This little girl is grown in a grow tent under a 200W LED light and is hopefully gonna be okay without ventilation (But there is a fan in there blowing air for her), cause I just can’t afford spending money on that right now - and that might come back to haunt me later on, but you live and you learn... and I learn by doing. To keep the humidity up I’m spraying water on the walls of the tent, since I read that that can replace a humidifier for the time being. Whenever I get my job back after this quarantine I might begin investing more money into the grow - until then this will just be my little experiment. GG is planted in Biobizz Light Mix and I’m gonna be using Biobizz nutes for this grow. I’ll try to get some prettier pictures of my girl without the LED light on tomorrow. ————- TIMELINE: 04/21: She went in the soil after having been germinated and showing off some taproot for me. 04/23: She showed her face. 04/24: Growing nicely. 04/25: I noticed that the tips of her true leaves seem white? I’ll keep an eye on it - and I’ll make a mental note not to water her for the next few days to get her nice and thirsty. 04/26: Moved her closer to the light today. Hope I didn’t overdo it. 04/27: I liked her shape better yesterday. I’m gonna keep an eye on her. 04/28: Fed her today. Let’s hope I didn’t kill her. Next set of leaves are really showing today. 04/29: Leaf growth. Not much more to say than that - I’m happy with how she is right now... I hope to see more growth next week.

I’m growing under a 200W LED light... how close to the light should the seedling be? Right now it’s just about 90cm / 35 inch away from the plant.

If you don't have a lux meter, you can try downloading an app that performs this function to your smartphone. it is not 100% reliable but you can still get an idea if you have a good smartphone. in the first days your seedling needs at least 4000/5000 lux to grow so I advise you to approach the lamp and try with your smartphone to help you adjust the distance.

I love my little plant. I thought the white spot on her leaf would become an issue, but it seems like she’s outgrowing it, whatever it was. Can’t wait to see her grow some more. I’m probably gonna rehome her by the end of the week, so she can spread her roots. ————- TIMELINE: 04/30: Beginning of her second week. Happy to see her alive and well. 05/01: She had a wrinkled lead this morning, which might be stress from me either giving her too much life or maybe not feeding her enough. Fed her and put her a bit further away from the light. I’ll let her rest now. I see 6 more fingers on the way out, so that’s the good news of today 🙌 05/02: Leaf growth, but nothing major to report. 05/03: Repotted her today. I hope I didn’t shock her roots too much - only time will tell. 05/04: Today I spotted a lot of leaf growth. I see at least 12 new leaves coming out, so that’s super exciting. May the 4th be with you guys. 05/05: She looks bigger today and I’m seeing 2 new leaves popping up. I expect to see a lot of new growth the next few days. 05/06: Last day of her second week. I can’t wait to see what next week has in store for us.

Worried mom on the loose. Today I found that my little plant has a wrinkle on one of her leaves. What could it be from? I’m wondering if she’s either dehydrated (4 days since last feed) or maybe the light intensity, because I turned it up a bit. Any advice?

give it a bit of water and see how she is in the next 24-48h; twisted leaves is a sign of stress. but they usually recover well once they get bigger.

Third week. I don’t know why this seems like such an accomplishment to me, but it does. I can’t wait to see what kind of grow there’s in store for me this week. ————- TIMELINE: 05/07: What can I say? She’s getting bigger and I see her fill out her pot more and more each day. It’s a real treat. 05/08: Ordered a MH SF 2000 light today and I’m too excited about it. The little one is doing good 😎 she was also fed. 05/09: I topped her today. She’s getting wide. Also did some lst today... I think I could have done a better and more organized job - It wasn’t even my intention to do it, it just sort of happened. I hope she’ll stop looking like a trampled octopus soon. 05/10: First thing after midnight I ordered a new grow tent. All this time I thought I was growing in an 80/80 tent, when really it was 60/60. I’m so dumb. With a light on the way that is too big for my current tent I saw no other choice than to pay out. Also gave up on LST for now - might resume later. It didn’t feel right and I got insecure 😬 05/11: Gave her a big meal today. Hope she enjoyed it - and I hope I’m not overwatering her. So far she seems to be doing well. 05/12: I got my SF 2000 today before work - and wow I actually managed to fit it pretty comfortably inside my 60/60 tent somehow. Hooray for stretchy fabric. Also GG’s stem is hardening and I think I see the first signs of flowering. I did order a bigher grow tent that should arrive some time later today, which is probably gonna be more optimal for this light. 05/13: Just found out that I’ve been writing april where I meant to write may under my pictures - and I even wrote october one time... I don’t know what went through my sleepy brain 🙈 anyway - it’s the last day of GG’s thirs week and she really boomed under SF 2000. I think she might be a bit stressed due to heat, so I had to open up her tent to get the temperatures down from 32c to 25c - now I just have to keep my cat out of there, since he will not hesitate to try and dig her up.

While it's a controversial topic, as you said, it's hit or miss.. I think the growing environment plays a big role to this question. When i grow in my boxes, which are not very tall, then i top just to keep the size of the plant in check. That's of course next to lst as well. With larger growing strains, it might even be necessary (well, i shouldn't grow them in there, but that's another question ;)) If you have the vertical space then I think i would try to make a direct comparison, by growing 2 plants, one topped and one not, and then comparing the yield of each. This way you could see and compare the differences in your specific environment (your light, your medium, your temperature/humidity, your nutrients and feeding schedule, and so on). I'm sure some will say "no, it won't recover", while others will say "there will be more colas".. Either way, i wish you happy growing whether you top it or not! ;)

This week I need to focus on keeping the heat down. I got a Spider Farmer 2000 last week and woah it brought the temperature up by a lot, so much so that I have to keep the tent open. Overall I’m really happy with this experience and I feel like I’m learning something new every day. TIMELINE: 05/14: The heat got up to 32c the other day and my plant seem to have suffered some heat stress. I’m sure she’ll recover as she seems to be pretty resilient, this one. I also watered her with some nute-free water today - and I put in some other plants to keep her company under the light. They won’t stay in there forever, but for now I think it looks pretty cute with a bunch of plants in there. 05/15: More growth! Two of her leaves got really fucked up due to the heat stress. I re-adjusted the lights so they’re now a bit further away from her. 05/16: I feel like she’s looking a bit off - light green leaves with darker edges? I might just be a paranoid parent. There’s so many ways to fuck up. 05/17: I set up my exhaust fan yesterday, but today I’m noticing a strange sound coming from it - I hope it’s not a defect fan, but just a loose screw. My plant is still looking somewhat pathetic after those hot days in the tent, but she’s growing and I’m making sure that she’s not getting too hot today. She was also fed with nutes. 05/18: Ordered a humidifier - it’s a bit late seeing as she’ll probably go into flower soon and will need lower humidity, but at least I’ll be ready for the next grow. My plant has some white tips and I’m not sure if it’s from the heat earlier this week or if it’s nute burn. I guess time will tell - right now I’m not too worried. 05/19: Got the humidifier set up! So now I’m pretty happy about my grow tent. My lady is looking good to me - very bushy. 05/20: Pictures are getting less and less flattering the bigger she grows - she’s become a freaking bush 🙈🤣 I love her tho. It’s also my birthday! So yay!

Just want to know if she’s looking okay. I see some brown-ish spots close to her new leaves and I’m hoping it just has something to do with the colour of her stems or some other insignificant reason. I also know that some of the leaves are heat stressed - had some rough days.

Last week I got myself a humidifier. So right now my grow tent is 60/60/160 and features a Spider Farmer 2000, which is kinda oversized, but still works in there despite what other people told me - but who knows, maybe I’ll learn my lesson later on. There’s a small exhaust fan and a regular fan without oscillation + the humidifier. I also put in a young vegging chili plant I got from a coworker - it’ll be put outside eventually tho. 05/21: Starting week 5 and my plant is looking very bushy. She has gained some height in the past few days and I hope that’ll continue a bit. Can’t wait to see her flower. 05/22: She grew a bit since yesterday - especially sideways. Her newest leaves have yellow tips, which I suspect is due to me moving the light down to experiment - my mistake. I hope that’s what it is and that the next set of leaves won’t suffer. 05/23: Not much to say - she’s looking lush and nice to me! Since the beginning of this week she’s grown to 23cm height, so 5cms in a couple of days. 05/24: Found some down-clawing leaves today and some people suggest it can have something to do with air circulation. I only spotted two leaves doing this and I hope it’ll stay like that 😬 05/25: Haven’t had much time to look at my plant today, but my wife sent me a nice picture of her. She seems to be doing fine! 05/26: I think she’s started to flower? So that’s pretty cool. I also removed some of the lower branches, since I felt like she was too bushy for me. I like how she looks now. 05/27: I’m so happy with how she looks. She does have some burnt edges on her leaves - but she’s had that since she was born, so I’m starting to be less worried about that and just let her do her thing. I think defoliation was a good decision. She is also flowering now - it took me a little bit to realize... I thought the leaves were just looking super strange.

Hello.. Hope you are well.. Wen leaves curl inwards n down like she's displaying its usually to do with heat and not enuf fesh air.. Try placing a oscillating fan around her to keep a gentle breeze of cooler air.. Open a vent on tent n place fan nxt to this to help draw fesh air thru.. Dont blast plants with fan tho.. Stay safe n gud luck with her.. 👍🍀

Hi and congratulations! Basic advice would be to keep the humidity on the lower side when the strecth is over (45-55 RH%) and also when the stretch is over you can switch to flowering nutes 'cos she wont be needing that much nitrogen anymore and more P and K 👌

First day of a new week. She’s doing well! She almost doubled in size since last week. 05/28: Not much to say. She’s a fine lady. 05/29: She’s still growing a bit. It’s very interesting to see her take shape and see her flowers form. 05/30: She is really growing sideways - I’m trying hard to make room for her leaves in my tiny tent, but the humidifier is kinda taking up a lot of space. Yikes. I’m wondering if I even need the humidifier anymore, since humidity seems to stay at 50% - but at the same time I don’t wanna risk humidity going down to dangerous percentages one day if I remove it. She’s also very thirsty I think? She had about 2 litres over the span of two days and she seems very fine with that. 05/31: I think she grew a few cms today. I also pruned her a bit where possible. 06/01: She’s looking fine! About 40cms tall. 06/02: I fed her today - she’s becoming a bit difficult to water, since she requires more. One of her leaves felt a bit funny today and I think I have a chronic fear of nitrogen toxicity and deficiency. 06/03: Fed her again. It’s funny to feel how fast her pot gets light, when I’m so used to her barely eating. I also setup a new and bigger tent so she can spread out more.

Is it possible that this girl can drink 1 liter of water every day? I fed her yesterday, but today her pot felt super light, so I fed her again - no drooping is happening and she seems super okay with it. She’s grown in an 11 liter pot and is about 36 cms tall - if that helps.

1 liter seems all right if your grow room is at a nice temperature and with good ventilation, your plant is looking awesome and a little monster for that pot size, and it's going to take up a lot of water with good conditions (heat/humidity/ventilation) and more overall efficiency when absorbing your lights.

So she grew from 32cms to 50cms in just a week - I’m really impressed by how rapid these plants can grow and how fast GG is drying up her pot. 06/04: I haven’t fed her today - I think she can go a day without being fed. 06/05: She was not happy with not being fed - or so I think. She was drooping a lot, so I just fed her. Otherwise she’s looking good. 06/06: Experiencing what I think is early stage of calcium deficiency, otherwise she’s doing good. 06/07: Eeeeh - I should have taken a picture earlier in the day. She’s drooping a lot and is not looking too impressive. I did feed her, but I don’t think it’s due to overwatering - I think it’s because it was close to lights out. I guess I’ll see in the morning. 06/08: Okay, so it turned out she was just sleeping when I took the picture last night - everything is okay. I hope she’ll start eating up the calmag I gave her soon 😫 I don’t want her to be sick. 06/09: Fed her today. She’s getting really tall - now I’m just waiting for her buds to take shape. 06/10: Looking nice! Not much to say. I can’t wait to see where next week will take her.

Hello I think it's a little early to tell for certain... a lot can depend on feeding/light/training. The best suggestion i could give would be to defoliate the bottoms since youre only week 3 of flowering, that'll boost those top buds big time. But you can aim in about 40-60 grams per square foot. Almost 2 feet right now so probably around 100 grams... Just keep it as healthy as it looks now and I'm sure you'll be very happy. Plus those gorilla strains are always pretty strong. Happy flowering.

Woah. She just keeps on gaining height. I remember readin somewhere that when grown in 11l pots they’ll only get to about 30cms - but that’s such misinformation 😂 that’s why I love learning from experience, even though the internet is a great source to gather information from. Last week I discovered some bronze spots on her leaves - and they haven’t disappeared yet. I suspected a calmag deficiency, so I started giving her more of it. I don’t care if the damage done doesn’t go away - I just don’t want it to get worse. 06/11: Fed her. It seems like she empties her pot every second day now. I usually feed her until runoff - and I feed her a lot. Someone suggested that I feed her less, so I’ll see how that goes. Maybe that’ll make some nutrients more available to her - I don’t know. Also I found a sticker for my desktop computer that I never used (I hate stickers) and I thought it would look well on her pot. It reads “Do Not Disturb” 06/12: She’s looking good - beautiful flowers are popping up here and there. 06/13: Not looking too good today. I don’t know if she was underwatered, but she was all droopy all day. I fed her twice and now it’s just a waiting game to see how she’ll react to that. 06/14: She’s well today! It’s such a game between me and my dramatic plant... I guess she was just acting hangry with me yesterday. 06/15: I thought some of her leaves were looking a bit dark - and possibly tacoing a bit? But it could just be the light. Regardless, I gave a little less grow nute, to back down from nitrogen. 06/16: Nothing new to say. She’s gorgeous and dramatic. 06/17: Fed her today. Can’t wait for her to buds to fatten... I feel so impatient 😂

She’s really filling out my tent - and the defoliation I did some time ago is starting to become a vague memory of what once was. Every time I have to water the little she-monster I have to carry her outside so the water can drain out - her little floppy saucer isn’t good to balance water in and I want to get a new one for my next grow. 06/18: Started to really notice how big her flowers are getting down the stem. It’s beautiful. Fatten, fatten, fatten, fatten!!! 06/19: Fed her. Nothing else to say today! 06/20: She’s looking good and mostly just taking care of herself. All I have to do is water her every other day and she’ll stay happy. 06/21: Fed her late today. Her leaves are getting nice and sugary to look at. 06/22: She’s healthy looking and took care of herself today. Didn’t post any full pictures of the whole plant since there’s not much change to see from the other days. 06/23: Fed her around 10pm today. Didn’t have time until then. I can see her flowers are starting to look fuller! So that’s very exciting. Overall in really great health and I hope it stays that way. 06/24: She’s good! All is well! Last day of her 9th week.

Hello So she probably already is a bit sticky. If squeeze the buds they night feel a bit greasy and smelly. While your trichromes are growing they start out all thin and noodley...once the tops look bulbous, they're filling with resin more every day, thats how they get that lollipop look. As for really greasing out, you'll probably notice it mainly in those last weeks..since you're 7 weeks in, probably 2 weeks from now you'll really see the grease and the goo. Some people think dropping your RH down in the last couple weeks helps trichromes a lot! * i am not 100% on this thought yet...but definitely worth trying. Happy flowering. ✌️

This just snuck up on my - don’t ask me how. To me it looks kinda like late stage something... what is it and what do I do? The colour is lime, stem is purple (but it’s been like that for the entire flowering period) and there’s some brown colour too.

I finally got around to re-calibrate my pH meter and woooooh it was WAY OFF before. Also stopped feeding grow-nutes and am now only focused on bloom-nutes, per advice from this site. She started to get some nasty looking leaves, but I’ll see how she’ll do now that I’m no longer giving her biogrow. Overall I see her buds getting fatter and they’re getting nice and sticky to the gentle touch and squeeze. I hope to see them develop even more this coming week. Haven’t looked at the trichomes in a few days, but I wonder how they’re looking.

When will these white pistils disappear? When looking at other diaries it seems like other GG autos alteady look more ripe than mine by this week. I guess I just feel impatient 😂

Hey buddy, I’ve seen you been through a rough journey and during those period the plant didn’t get chance to grow properly. That could be the reason for slow ripe of bud even though they’re in long period of flowering circle. Now They are looking great and back in form.As long as they are not into any problem, the bud will ripe eventually. If you don’t want to be patient, change your light schedule to 12/12.Sure they will ripe faster. But It can cost your final yield.Good luck and happy growing.. ✌️

Just letting her do her thing and take charge of her own life. Leaves are yellowing a lot and even though I have both flushed and nuted her - and stopped giving nitrogen - she seems like she doesn’t give a flying bud about it... so I’m not worrying about that anymore too much.

I’m not good at getting good trichome-shots of her - I really need a non-phone-relying microscope. This is amber trichomes right? I honestly don’t know if it’s from the bud or the sugar leaves... How long do you guys think she has left?

Looks like you are taking trichome pics from the leaf. The leaf will always show more advanced/deceptive trichomes. Put your microscope/phone on the buds just under the main cola and a few more places to get a good overal idea of the plant. By looking at your grow it looks like your plant has several weeks left as it’s still putting out mostly white pistols and not a lot of color change. When the hairs start to recied back into the buds that’s when I start looking at thrichomes.

I’m seeing some of my sugar leaves turning a purple-ish colour? Is this genetics or some bad news? I hope the pictures shows it okay.

Genetics, nutrients and lights might give the purple hue to stems and leaves, also cold temperatures. On peppers/hot peppers, purple pigment is generated because light is too powerful sometimes (is a good sign) and in cannabis too, it's probably more efficient than green at that stage of growing.

What deficiencies are these? I’ve flushed her, ph’ed her water and I’m giving her a good amount of nutrients - no nitrogen for the past two weeks I think. Is this just an age thing? I don’t need her to look perfect before harvest, but I’m afraid it’s affecting the bud maturity.

well the no nitrogen can be a culprit.. But we don't really care too much about the occasional leaf going to down side.. It's a good sign really as if your nitrogen intake is too high this won't happen and your bud can be "bad".

I think her white pistils are slowly disappearing. Just want her to be mature now so I can cut her down 😂 her leaves are turning yellow and in some places purple. I don’t see any amber one the bud sites yet... none that I’ve spotted other than on the sugar leaves.

Any estimate or guess on when she’ll be done? Her pistils have been turning very amber this week. I’m trying to get a good trichome shot, but it’s not easy... I know she has some way still, since I don’t really see any amber trichomes yet.

Everything is going fine! I can’t remember if there’s anything that needs to be said... i found a dead bug stuck to a bud... I wonder if it got stuck to the “glue” and died there like that 😬

Will the buds fatten up more or is this as thick as she’ll get? Perfectly content, just don’t wanna chop her too soon if there’s some time by the end of her life where the buds blow up. 😇 In week 11 flower - strain is supposed to be 9-10 weeks flower. Trichs not amber yet.

I'd give it more time to turn Amber you've waited this long don't chop.. She might not get bigger but she needs to mature out... Ive never done a plant that has been done it the time frame the breeder says..Good grow ✌️✌️

She feels very dry and looks dead - there’s still a sticky feeling to her and her trichomes are there. This is the only place om the plant affected this badly... is this reason to chop? She looks more normal further down the stem.

She was such a good plant from the beginning. Very bushy and was able to endure almost all of the stress from a newbie. I decided to cut her early, since I started to get nervous about effing something up last minute. She was fun and I would love to grow her again in the future.
