Leaf Mutation After Topping?

Kirsten
Kirstenstarted grow question a day ago
So I topped this 10 days (ish) ago. The leaf mutation, I'm wondering if it's actually where I topped it. What do you think? I think cut it pretty damn clean to be honest. I just want to figure out why the leaves are this way. 🍃✌️

Top is a clean chop of the apex at the stem. A FIM is more of a chop across the apex across the tiny undeveloped mini leaves. Sometimes when you FIM you can cut into 2-3 layers of leaf that are still tiny and once they grow out you then see the chop the scissors made when it was teenie tiny. Sometimes plants can just react in odd ways to stress, I've had plant when as soon as you train her she just does not react well, ive had others thay almost thrive with the stress. Wouldn't worry just give her time to grow a bit see how she develops. We all get stressed now and again.

I only see 2 tops coming from where you cut, so I don't think you missed. To me it just looks like you slightly clipped the new forming nodes when topping and it has created a little deformation in the leaves.

Nope, you didn't top, you missed :) What you did is FIM (F*ck I missed), it's a technique some people actively pursue, so don't worry, it's all good. Hard to see in the pic but it looks like you'll get 3 tops.

It looks like a combination of things. Light, VPD, and PH issues hit the younger growth at the same time. Plants usually grow out of this in a short period. You seem to know the situation well enough, just give it some time, keep your PH in check, it will be fine.

It looks to me that when you topped you damaged the leaves on the new branches and now that it's growing out, it looks a bit strange. If you cut through forming leaves it normally looks like this when they grow out. Nothing to worry about.

Likely nothing. Shit happens and it seems to be isolated. Might not ever find out why, but the main thing is that its not progressing and getting worse. Sometimes leaves just grow in funny. plants aren't perfect. Could also be from you and just not realiseing it. Would not put any more effort into it.

Hard for me to see what exactly you did l, but in times I’ve topped and accidentally did fim instead, the leaves that grew out looked just like these. Maybe this is the case here. If so it’s perfectly normal and nothing to worry about
