Distilled water for calibration is a must because you need 0 Ppm water and it has a neutral ph.. it's how the Calibration fluid works. Plain old tap water can be great for plants depending on where you live, not all water that comes from taps is the same.

Please anyone reading this.. Research bleach before putting that stuff in your water... Not a good idea.. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Bleach

IMO, if you are using tap water, be careful about your cal-mag nutes. I would only do 50% strength, until you see how your plants are doing.

As for water for plants/calib , best is distilled. To adjust your PH with tap water. Lemon for PH down. 1/4 slice will drop 1 gallon by 1.5 points. Bleach for PH up. 1/2 teaspoon will raise up by 1.5 per gallon. Hope that helps you.

Hi Hardcunt12, i use tap water and let it breath for 24h so all additives in the water can dissipate/evaporate. After adding the nuts measure the ph level and correct it if necessary. Hope it helps you. #420
