When do I stop giving Nutrients?

I know that i want to stop giving nutrients roughly 2 weeks before harvest, but its my first grow and i dont have the expertise to know when that point will be. So maybe someone experienced can tell me when to roughly stop giving nutrients. This is like Day 35 of Flowering.

Hey Growmie, You're smart to be thinking ahead about flushing, it's a key step to getting smooth, clean-tasting buds. Since you're on Day 35 of flowering, you're getting into that critical stretch. Most strains finish flowering around 8 to 10 weeks (so roughly Day 56–70), which means you're still about 1–3 weeks away from the ideal time to stop feeding nutrients. In general, you want to begin flushing about 10–14 days before harvest. That would be around Day 42–46 for an 8-week strain, Day 49–53 for a 9-week, and so on. Since you mentioned it’s your first grow and you're unsure exactly when that point is, don't stress, use the plant’s visual cues. When around 70–80% of the pistils (those white hairs) have darkened and curled in, and most of the trichomes are cloudy with a few turning amber, that’s a good signal to start your flush. You’ll want to stop feeding nutrients and just give plain water, which helps the plant burn off what’s left in the system so your final product smokes smooth and clean. You’re doing the right thing by paying close attention. If you need extra support, feel free to drop me a message always happy to help you dial it in week by week. Stay growing strong!

Typically auto flowers will thrive much better under 18 hours of light. The days given for maturing an auto are counted differently than for a photo period. They include the vegetative stage and flower to finish, from seed to harvest. Of course this time can be off by a couple of weeks depending on many conditions. You’ll have to be able to recognize the signs of a maturing plant as to when to cut down on the feeding schedule. These signs are usually fading leaves, from the bottom to the top, slow growth, strong smell, trichomes filling out, buds swelling, and white hairs will turn brown. Flushing is something you do not need to do unless you have a toxicity of some sort. Plain water the last few days before harvest is fine.

You generally want to stop giving nutes about 1-2 weeks before harvest so the plant can flush out all the extra stuff and the smoke ends up clean. Since you're on Day 35 of flower with your Auto, and most autos finish around Day 70–80, you’re roughly at the halfway mark of flower. That means you're probably looking to start flushing around Day 60–65, but don’t go just by the calendar. Start watching the trichomes and pistils closely. When about 70-80% of the pistils are orange and curling in, and the trichomes are mostly milky with some amber, that’s your sign to stop feeding and just give plain water till the end. That’s your flush window.
