Put the seeds in water to start. Took the first GG less than 2 days to sprout. The other 2 seeds took 4 days. Sour D seeds took 3 days to sprout fully. Took them straight from water to the soil. From there they all came above ground in 2 days. Using Fox Farms Ocean Forest soil in 5 gallon cloth grow bags. Watering with spray bottle and PH water at 6.5. Keeping the water close to the seedlings. No nutes at this point.

Nov 8 Update: Gorilla Glue #1 is the first one to reach 7 days. Looks really healthy. 2.25" tall. 2nd set of leaves is looking strong. GG #2 & #3 are 3 days behind GG #1 but looking really healthy as well. The Sour Diesels are a bit less consistent. All of them have been above ground for 6 days now. SD#1 looks great and is 1.75" tall. SD #2 is the same height and looks healthy overall but has had a slight discoloration on the end of the leaves since the get go. Don't know what that is or whether I should be worried about it. I'll keep monitoring. SD #3 is only about 1" tall. This one started off slow as I put it in 'old soil' from previous grow before I noticed and switched it to new bag with new FF OF soil. The leaves are slightly discolored (yellow) compared to SD #1. I'll keep monitoring. Watering with sprayer around the seedlings so far a couple of times a day when soil on top looks dry. I've had the Optic Slim 320 S settings on 60% (blue channel) and 20% (red channel) at 24 inches which is generating 280-320 PPFD.

11/10- Checked the PPFD readings for all the plants this morning. My research suggests that the proper lighting for seedling/week 1 is somewhere between 200-400 PPFD. My readings for each plant are GG#1-391, GG#2-310, GG ##-330, SD#1-403, SD#2-320, SD#3-366. Definitely on the high side but the plants all seem to be doing ok. I'm using Optic Slim 320S light at 24" above the plants at 60% setting on blue and 20% on red. Did first full watering on GG #1 and SD 1,2, 3. Half gallon per plant. TDS readings as follows: GG #1-932, SD #1-944, SD #2-894, SD #3-719. Light schedule is now 19/5 . Transplanted GG 2 and SD #3 into 3 gal grow bags. Moved out of tent into another room under Vivosun VS 2000 light to give more room in grow tent. I'm looking to find out early which of these plants are going to be the stars and give them 100% billing. Those get to play on the big stage. The others move down a step. Right now GG #1 &2 and SD #1 &2. are in the grow tent. 11/11-Lowered lights to 20" in grow tent w 100% blue on Optic Slim 320S. Got average of 450-500 PPFD. Target is 600. GG 2 &3 reached 7 days...GG #3-1.25 in, GG #2-1.0 in..considerably smaller than GG #1 at 7 days. Room 2 PPFD is around 280 for GG 2&3. Added .5 gallon of 6.3 PH water to GG 2&3 and added a bit more FFOF soil to the pots. TDS 900-1000 11/12-Playing with the Blue on Red Channels on the 320S to see what effect it has. Turned Blue to 80% and Red to 20% to see if I can gently raise the PPFD to 600 ish. Lowered the lights to 18 ". PPFD readings were 475-525. 11/13-Noticed slight discoloration happening on GG #1 so I turned off Red channel and went 100% blue. Set the lights at 18" which showed PPFD in 450-475 range. Will monitor. 11/14-Started applying first LST on SD 1&2 and GG #1. Watched a video the previous night on Canatomatoes diary (https://growdiaries.com/diaries/71425-fastbuds-blue-dream-039-matic-grow-journal-by-canatomatoes) describing his Topping methods. It inspired me to try it. I guess I'll find out soon whether that was a smart move or dumb as f..k. This morning I topped the GG #1 which was looking very healthy. Both SD #1&2 loo0k like candidates as well. I'll see how GG #1 is looking before I go any further. UPDATE- I topped SD #1 later in the day. Also watered GG #1 and SD #1 w .5 gallon 6.3 PH. Small runoff on both. TDS: GG #1-700 ish and 6.2, SD #1-900 ish and 6.2. 11/15-The morning after topping and both GG #1 and SD #1 are looking great so far. Fingers crossed I get no adverse reaction. The other 2 plants in the grow tent are doing great as well, particularly the SD #2 which I was tempted to top but decided not to so I can hopefully see the difference in growth and yield between the two methods. I decided to do a little experimenting on the GG #2 and SD #3 in the other grow room. These 2 are lagging behind the other plants in term of growth. So I added 1 ml of Sensi Grow Å&B to a gallon of water and put a 1/2 gallon on each to see if that helps make them grow a bit faster (or puts them to an earlier demise). The TDS on the runoff for both was 1800 ish which is about double what I got for runoff with just water on the healthier plants in the tent. We shall see. WEEK 2 RECAP Overall I'm happy with the progress. I was able to start the LST a bit earlier than I had hoped. I'm really looking to see if I can get these babies growing wide and take full advantage of lights for more buds. Based on the early health of GG #1 and SD #1 I had an opportunity to TOP in hopes of increasing yield and it looks like it might just work. Looking forward to Week #3.

11/16-Started adding a tiny amount of nutes into the water. 1.5 ml per gallon for Sensi Grow A & B. Started with using sprayer around the stem to start. No bad effects observed so far so I'll add a bit more next week. Also decided to take SD #3 out of the rotation. Plant was lagging so I ended it. 11/18- Did some more LST on the GG #1 and SD #1 which I had topped. Both took the topping in stride with no ill effects. While trying to separate the leaves on the GG #1 I accidentally broke off one of the main branches. I'm hoping that I did not ruin the plant because it was looking great prior to the incident. 11/19-GG #1 appears to be recovering. I'm keeping my fingers crossed. The SD #1 and SD #2 are looking good. It will be interesting to see what kind of difference in yield I might get between the SD that is topped and the one that is not. Full watering all the plants with 6.3 PH and tiny bit of nutes. Last full watering was 5 days ago. If I see no adverse reactions I'll increase the Grow nute load next watering and continue until we are into flowering time. My big lesson this week is NOT to do something you don't have to do. I got greedy trying to bend the GG #1 excessively and got burned. 11/20-Well it looks like GG #1 (Topped) has/is recovering nicely from my recent LST overreach and is getting bigger and healthier. Both of my other GG's are doing nicely. GG #3 in the grow tent is going nicely albeit not quite as studly as GG #1. GG #2 in my other grow area under the VS2000 light is also doing well. With 2 GG's that appear to be on track I decided to get a little more aggressive and topped GG #2. The plant was alot smaller than GG #1 but healthy so I gave it a go. If it fails I've still got 2 good ones going. I also changed the light settings on the Optic Led Slim 320S in the grown tent by adding 20%-Red which upped the PPFD closer to 600 now. Will monitor. 11/21-Did some heavier LST on SD #2 to get some of the lower part of the plant involved. 11/22-End of week 3 for GG #1. It's in fine shape overall even after I broke a branch. I trimmed a couple of leaves off today that were blocking new growth below. Can hardly notice. I'd originally planned to start LST and consider topping the is week so I'm ahead of schedule. Also topped GG #2 and its doing nicely as well. GG #3 I started a bit more aggressive LST. SD #1 is looking good. I trimmed a couple of leaves today to get more light on the topped area. SD #2 I started a bit more aggressive LST bending main stalk back.

11/22-Start of week 4. GG's are looking good overall. GG #1 keeps moving along nicely although I wish I had not broken that branch or it would be really great. After topping GG2 it is coming along great. So much so that I moved it into the grow tent and demoted GG3 to the other grow area. I've been aggressively LST and removed some leaves to get some light down low. I'll see how she does. Continuing to adjust LST on both SD's which are both looking good at 21 days. 11/24-Watered GG#1 and SD#1 1/2 gal each with a 25% dose of Sensi Grow A&B 8 ml/gal ( 4 and 4) and 6.5PH. Put the plants out in the sun for a few hours because it was so nice. PPFD was about 1200 in the sun. 11/25-Raised the lights 2" to account for growth in the plants. PPFD is around 600 ish with no adverse affects observed so far. Did a fair bit of defoliation on all the plants to get some more lights down low. I'm hoping that I'm not overdoing the LST. We shall see. 11/26- I noticed that the GG #1 had a brown tip developing on only (1) leaf. Not sure what that is since none of the other plants or leaves show anything similar. Will monitor. Received a new touchscreen controller from Optics LED that will allow me to fine tune the lighting by 1% increments on the Slim 320S. Happy to have it for the rest of veg and then into bloom. 11/27-I think I figured out the cause of the brown tip leaf on GG #1. I purchased a heater to place in the tent to keep temps steady. I think even though it only ran in short stints when temps dipped the intensity was pretty hot. And it was aimed a bit toward GG #1. I've moved it to the other side of the grow tent where there is a bit more room and I made sure to aim the airflow clear of the plants directly. Will monitor. Did another watering but this time increased the nutes to 50% (8ml per Sensi Grow A&B) of recommended levels . One half gallons per plant for GG1 &2 and SD 1&2. PPM of about 900 ish on this watering with 6.4 ph. Will monitor for any adverse reaction. 11/28-All the plants are looking good. No adverse effects observed from the increase in nutrients which is great. The first 2 plants I topped, GG#1 and SD#2 are really shaping up nicely and getting close to that even canopy I'm looking for. All the plants are starting to show the first signs of stretching. Still no pre-flowering yet. raised the lights a couple of inches to account for growth. Increased red lights on Slim 320S light to 32%. Blue channel is at 100%. PPFD around 700 now. 11/29-Overall the plants look good. I detected a couple of very tiny white tips on the leaves on GG#1 and SD#1. Almost unnoticeable but probably a sign that I should cut back on the Grow nutes to 25%. Both GG1 and SD1 are getting that even canopy look. SD2 (untopped) is trying to get taller but the LST is helping to keep things relatively even. The SD's are shaping up to provide an interesting look at the difference in yields from top/no top. Both GG2 (topped) and GG3 are just not getting taller or wider. They both look healthy but there is not much room between nodes. Don't know why. At this point I'm seeing the very earliest signs of pre-flower on the SD's but not on the GG's. Finally, I did a trim on SD 1&2 as well as GG 1&2 to open things up a bit.

11/30-I checked the runoff this morning on SD #2 after watering and was shocked to see that the TDS was damn near 4000 ppm and the Ph was 5.3. I couldn't believe it so I checked my meter against the PH and TDS solutions and it was not broken. I had been adding increasing amounts of Sensi Grow A&B and the plants did not appear to be showing any ill effects. So after doing some research online (sometimes a dangerous move) I decided to flush until the levels were at a more normal level of 1,100 to 1,200 when I first started the grow. After doing that the Ph levels came up to the 6.0 to 6.1 range. Did the same on GG1&2. I promised myself at the beginning of the grow that I was not going to overthink this but I could not resist tinkering and 'doing something' every day. So now that the plants have been flushed and appear to be at appropriate levels of ppm and ph I'm going to take a couple days off and see what happens. 12/1-Raised the lights and inch and increased Red channel on lights to 45%. Added 2' of FFOF soil on top of existing soil. 12/3-Watered GG 1, SD 1&2 about 1/3 gallon each with Sensi Bloom A&B and Big Bud. 750 ppm and 6.4 Ph. Trimmed leaves on all plants. Moved GG #2 to other grow area and promoted the Grape Creme Smile to the big tent. Raised Red Channel on lights to 70% and raised lights another 2 inches. Week Summary-Tried to less this week after flushing the plants. The SD plants have started to flower. SD #2 which was not topped seems to be flowering faster than SD #1 which was topped but SD#1 seems to have more bud sites developing. The Gorilla Glues show no signs of flowering 30 days into the grow. Next week I'll start adding more nutes back into the mix.

12/6-Flushed SD #1 to get PPM levels down to 1200 from 2740. GG #1 leaves seemed to be get slightly yellowish so I decided to do some foliar spraying with mix of 4ml/gal foliar spray. Seems to be helping bring back a bit more green into the leaves. 12/8-Gave 1/2 gallon of water with nutes on SD 1&2 as well as GG1. Added a little Cal Mag into the mix. PPM-900 Ph-6.4. I've also increased the Red channel on the lights. 12/9- Did some light defoliation in the tent on SD and GG. No signs of stress from watering. Upped lights. PPFD is 800-1000. 12/11-Watering on all plants with 6.4Ph and 900-930 PPM. 1/2 gallon on each plant. All the plants are looking healthy and vibrant and really starting to stretch. SD2 is furthest along with flowering followed by SD1. None of the GG's have shown much pre-flower just yet although they all look healthy. I hope they are just slow starters. I gotta say how amazed I am with the Sensi Bloom A&B perfect Ph nutes. They really do dial the ph in between 6.35 and 6.40 each time even with a little Cal Mag and Big Bud in the mix. I thought it was just marketing hype but its not. 12/13-All that plants in the tent are looking great. I think adding Cal Mag helped the leaves get greener again. Big difference happening on both SD and GG. Did some light defoliation on all the plants. I added 1/2 gallon per plant to both of the SD plants. They appear to be drinking in the water faster to help push the increase in bud site development. I increased the nutes in the water this time to Sensi Bloom A&B to 8 ml/gal per, CalMag 8 ml/gal, and Big Bud 4 ml/gal. PPM was a little over 1,000 and PH 6.2. GG#1 is starting to stretch, the leaves are getting greener, and it looks very healthy but still no real signs of preflower and I'm starting to worry that something is not right. This is the GG I topped early on and it looked great but I wound up breaking off a big node when I got greedy with some early LST. So even though its healthy you can see that big gap. Have to wait and see I guess. The other 2 GG's are healthy buy much smaller and thicker. GG #2 which is the other one I topped is showing some pre-flowering though. 12/14-Watered GG 1,2,3 with same nute mix as above.

Start of Week-All plants in the grow tent are looking healthy. The SD's are blooming and sucking down water. The GG is beginning to stretch with the very first signs of preflower. It will be interesting to see how much longer the GG is in the ground before harvest than the SD which are moving much faster. 12/16-Added 1/2 gallon water to SD 1&2 at 1100ppm and 6.2 Ph. Increased Sensi Bloom A&B to 10 ml/gal per plant. 12/17-SD 1 & 2 are sucking up the water quickly. I'm assuming that is because the flowering is really kicking in. So today I added 1 gallon to each with a couple of other nutes. I'll let this settle in and not water them again for a few days. 12/18-Added 1 gallon to GG 1 &2 with same nute mix as above. Runoff was at 5.8 ph and 2,000 ppm. Turned the lights up t0 100% on both red and blue channels. 12/19-Plants are really looking good. GG1 is finally in pre-flower mode and seems to have gotten bigger and stronger overnight. No signs of nute burn on any of the plants. 12/20-Added 1 gallon each to SD 1&2 of 6.3 ph water only to end the week. These 2 are really sucking down the water. GG1 is finally starting to explode. Growing taller with lots of bud sites now developing.

12/21-Added 1 gallon of Ph 6.3 water with 8 ml/gal of Rhino Skin to GG1. Did some defoliation. Using netting now to try and separate the stalks and provide light down low. Lights are on full 100%. PPFD is in the 1,000 to 1,200 range at 12 inches. After adding only Ph 6.3 water to the plants last week this week I'll add a bit more Bud nutes into the mix. Up until now I'ave seen no adverse reaction the levels so far. 12/23-Added 2 gals across SD 1&2 and GG1 with higher nute load. 6.2 Ph/1,370 ppm mix. Using the netting to create space for light to reach bottom of plants. GG1 is now growing big and creating lots of new bud sites. GG #2-Still small but seeing some bud sites. GG#3 is really stretching and starting to produce some bud sites. The SD's are looking very good right now. Fingers crossed we stay on that path. 12/25-Added another 2 gallons with same nute load as time before. Did some light defoliation. Everything in the tent is looking good. GG#3 is growing very tall now. Hard to believe its the same strain as GG #1 RECAP-Great week of growing. The SD's are blooming like crazy. The GG! which looked like nothing was ever going to happen is now the tallest plant and showing a ton of bud sites. Increased the nute mix with no visible signs of stress. Heading into the home stretch now. Fingers crossed!

12/28-Added 1 gal to SD#2 with nute mix including Overdrive (5.9/1650 ppm). This plant seems to be a few days ahead of SD#1 in terms of bud development. Added 1 gal to SD#1 without Overdrive (6.1/1440 ppm). Added 1 gal to GG#1 without Overdrive (6.2/1520 ppm). Lights are at 100% at 12 inches and getting 1,000 to 1,200 PPFD. 12/30-1 gallon Ph 6.2 w 8 ml Rhino Skin of GG #1. This one is growing like a beast now and sucking up water. Runoff was 5.86/1900. All the plants are just thriving now. The SD's did not need water today. 12/31-Watered each of the SD's with 1 gallon of Ph balanced water only at 6.2 PH. Runoff for SD #1 was 2,000 ppm and 5.7 ph. SD #2 was 5.6 and 2,280 ppm. Plants are looking very healthy and buds are thickening up nicely. 1/1/22-I posted a question about the excessive ppm levels I was getting on runoffs and was so happy to see that I had a couple of suggestions from one of the Master Growers here on the Grow Diaries community who suggested that my nutrient feeds were too aggressive for autoflowers which was likely causing a nutrient buildup and potentially risking nute blockout. He recommended flushing the plants back to a more conservative levels and that is what I did. I flushed both SD's and the GG until the levels were at 1,000 ppm and 6.0 pH levels. I'm going to let them dry out for a couple of days and cut the nute levels in half for the homestretch. I'll be interested to see what impact this has but my gut tells me its going to be good. I posted some more photos of the plants as we start the New Year.

When I watered each of the plants with Ph balanced water only the runoffs for each plant were about 30% higher ppm than I put in on the previous watering with nutes (see numbers above). The plants look very healthy. Should I be concerned with this and if so why?

I’d be concerned with the strength of your feeds - the EC/PPM in general. You’re hovering around 1500 ppm which is a very strong feed, especially for autoflowers. I rarely go above 1000 PPM with photos. You are starting to see some signs of lockout on a few and one has some signs of N toxicity (SD2). I’d personally do a flush with reg water and run a solid gallon or two thru the bottom of each.. cut those feeds in half going forward. Advanced is so “complex” of a line up I don’t know what to tell you to cut out of that regimen but I’d be feeding 650-800 max going forward unless there’s signs of deficiencies.

1/4/22-Watered each plant to runoff with reduced nutrient mix. Runoff PPM and Ph were: GG#1-5.9/1,700 SD #1-5.94/1,300 SD#2-5.94/1,590. Plants are looking great after flush last week. Both SD plants are getting very frosty. SD#1 which was topped has more bud sites but the buds while dense are not as big as on SD #2. It will be interesting to see in the end what the yield is for each plant. Both plants trichomes are very clear and plentiful but not milky yet. GG #1 is getting further along but is not even in the same neighborhood in terms of bud development, size, and density. I'm hoping that even though it was the first to pop up out of the ground it will take a bit longer to harvest and hopefully come through in the end. 1/6-Moved GG #1 into its own grow tent. Put the other 2 GG's which have been seriously lagging out into 'Siberia'....outdoors in the backyard where they will stay until harvest or chop down. Was spending too much time on plants that were not developing. 1/8-Watered GG #1 to runoff with reduced nute mix of SB A&B (4ml/gal), Cal Mag (2ml), Rhino Skin (4m), Bud Candy (4 ml), Big Bud (2ml) at 6.4Ph and 775 ppm. Runoff was 6.1 and 1,200 ppm. Watered SD 1 & 2with reduced mix of 6.3 Ph and 770 ppm. Mix was Big Bud (2ml), Bud Candy (4 ml), Overdrive (8ml), Rhino Skin (4 ml), SB A&B (2 ml per). Runoff was 6.03 and 1260 ppm. 1/10-Watered GG #1 again to runoff with just plain tap water at around 7.05 Ph to see if I could bring Ph up and lower the ppm's a bit. Ran about 2.5 gallons through and now runoff was 6.5 and 930 ppm. Did some light defoliation as well. The GG is finally starting to come around and the bud structures are really starting to develop. Stalks are getting stronger and I'm thinking (hoping) that this one is going to be a good one, albeit slow bloomer, in the end. FIngers crossed. WEEK 10 RECAP -All the plants are performing nicely it seems. The SD's which sprouted a day behind the GG #1 have exceeded my expectations so far. They are just looking awesome. SD #2 (non-topped) seems a few days ahead of SD #1 (topped). It is just starting to show some transition from clear trichomes to tiny bit of milky now. No amber at this point. I'm thinking I can get another week out of SD #2 and then its time to flush. I'll be monitoring closely now. GG #1 feels like its got another 2-3 weeks at least. So far this new indoor setup with the autoflowers has made a huge difference. Alot less work, easier to monitor here in my home office, and a much more consistent environment with temp, humidity, and light. Unlikely I'll go back outdoors again if these babies come through.

Before I watered plants today the Ph was 6.0 and 1,000 ppm. I added nutrient solution of 6.2 and 1,000 ppm to each plant until runoff. Runoffs were 1,300 to 1,700 range. Ph was 5.9. Is this in the ballpark. If I add 1,000 ppm to existing 1,000 ppm and get less is that right?

meter callibrated? what is error% or +/- accuracy of tool? pH dropping can be microbes. This depends a bit on how well buffered your nutrients are and even your tap water pH. (or whatever water source). You probably want to target a slightly higher pH with soil. It gives a bit more room for error on the low side. You drop a few tenths below 5.8-6.0 and you can lock out some nutes very quickly. you aren't adding 1000ppm to 1000ppm (false perception). You don't want it escalating way over 1000ppm in nearly all contexts. Some living soils or super soils may have a valid arguement, but in genearl you don't want your concentration of dissolved nutrients spiking or even gradually increasing over time will also cause major problems but further down the road before you see it. You want to maintain a safe and fertile concentration and ratio (balance) of nutrients. This is the point of runoff. get 10-15% runoff and it should avoid any buildup of concentration. This runoff should go down drain or thrown outside. Don't let it soak back in to pot. This will maintain your pH too -- assuming microbial issues are not causing a wild swing in pH. some evaporation occurs between irrigations. this increases "EC" or ppm of the water soaked into the soil. The excess runoff during irrigation will average everything back out and the higher concentrations are flushed out. What you add is significantly more than what moisture remains, so it safely returns it back to what you feed. your soil has nutes in it. This is why you don't see it running out at 1000ppm. The plant isn't clawing and it looks pretty late into flower. While i wouldn't make any drastic changes at this point in time, i'd be careful of those ppms rising too high. Watch for any hint of burnt tips or leaf symptoms. if they start to pop up, maybe give 1/2 dose for a couple fertilliations and make sure that runoff ppm drops a bit. other note -- runoff won't accurately tell you what is in the soil. it should probably be a bit higher, unless you get a ton of runoff, at which point it may be damn near what you feed if enough fertilied water runs through it. It's a good thing to check and will hint at an impending problem, but don't read it as "my soil is 1700ppm" because that's not what it is telling us. it is likely lower than what runoff is. watch for relative changes.. is it going up? down? staying the same is more often the target if all is going well. 1.5EC or 750ppm is probably a better target for future. Soil is more complicated than that since you have some nutes in it and slowly ramp up feeding as the plant eats up what is pre-built into soil. there are many factors involved with soil to consider. if you stick in this range and religious about runoff and not having any dry pockets of substrate after any irrigation, it's virtually impossible to run into any nutrient issues. if you irrigate with water only, a little less runoff is fine. be religious about teh 10% when you fertilize, but any water-only irrigation you just want to ensure there are no dry pockets. this requires some runoff to be sure. Unless your intention is to lower concentrations of nutrients in soil, of course.. extra runoff can quicly do that in case of toxicity.

1/11-Started flushing SD #1 & #2 using Flawless Finish. I've read various ideas on how best to use it, one time and then just water, or use it for each flush until harvest. I've opted to do the first flush in the early morning and then 6 hours laters another flush with plain water at 6.3 Ph. On the initial flush I ran 5 gallons of water w Flawless Finish through each 5 gallon pot and had runoff of 6.3 and 800 ppm. I'm going to stick to normal feeding schedule on the GG #1 for at least a couple of more weeks. It seems to be making a move in the right direction now and I'll see how the bud development goes in the next few days and evaluate. 1/12-Watered GG #1 to runoff with nutes listed above (minus Flawless Finish). Added Bud Ignitor into the mix. Ph was 6.3 and 800 ppm. Runoff 6.3/1,000 ppm. Bud sites are starting to develop further but still have a ways to go. 1/13-Did another flush on SD's. Runoff was 6.3 and 700 ppm. The first signs of the leaves turning yellow is happening. Trichromes are getting milkier and the very first traces of amber albeit tiny traces. The buds are getting very thick and dense. GG #1 is continuing to look better and better. Morning after SD's...milkier, more trace of amber, more yellow leaves. Feels like we are heading for something really good. 1/15-SD #2 is showing significant amount of yellowing leaves. Trichomes are definitely getting milky and a few more signs of amber. SD #1 has less yellow leaves. 1/15-Watered GG #1 with nute mix of 6.5Ph and 800 ppm. Runoff was 6.14 and 1350 which a little higher that I wanted. 1/16-Flushed SD's to run off with Flawless Finish. Runoff at 6.4Ph and 600 ppm. 1/17-Both SD plants are starting to show lots of yellow leaves now. The trichomes are definitely milky now but there is very little amber. I'm starting to wonder if waiting for more amber will push me past the sweet spot of not to early not too late. GG#1 is coming along nicely albeit alot slower than the SD's. It looks like they are at least a couple of weeks behind the SD although the plant is alot taller.

I'm using Advanced Nutrients Flawless Finish to flush my Sour Diesel autos. I've read varying ideas as how best to use the product. Should I use it on my first flush only or continue to use it on all waterings up to harvest?

Advanced Nutrients recommends the following: Use 2 mL per Liter during the last week of the bloom phase. https://www.advancednutrients.com/products/flawless-finish/ I'd be inclined to use it the way they advertise it. But with all nutrient companies you can get away with half doses if its needed. Some people just flush with ph'd water vs using and flushing agent. Its all personal choice. Best of Luck and Happy Growing

My 2 Sour Diesel autos are at the 11 week mark. I've flushed them for one week now and they are getting lots of yellow leaves and the trichomes are getting milky. However there is hardly a trace of any amber trichomes. Do I wait for the amber? Am I being impatient?

Yeah impatient 😂you're so close though, those buds have still got a bit of bulking up to do. I don't start flushing until I see all Cloudy and then harvest at 10-20%amber,it can take 1-3 weeks for Ambers to appear

Jan 18-Day 77-After 'consulting' with a couple of the master growers here on Grow Diaries I decided to harvest on Day 77. I've still got one more Sour Diesel going for a few more days. This Sour Diesel was terrific from start to finish. The yield in the end was beyond my expectation and I'm interested to see what the final dry yield is but based on past experience I'm expecting at least 3 and maybe 4 ounces. On this one I only did LST and no topping. In another few days I'll harvest the other SD which was topped and see what if any difference in yield I get. I'll add some more comments later when this one has dried. Jan 23-SD #1-Day 82 Harvest-I'll post more details later but it turns out the SD#1 that I topped actually had a 22% bigger yield than the non-topped SD #2. See pics above. Jan 27-SD #2 is now in jars curing. I dried it for 9 days. Actual dry weight was 100.7 grams or 3.59 oz. I'm ectastic with that yield. If SD #1 dries at the same relative percentage I'm going to get another 4.5 oz out of these 2 plants for a total of almost 8 oz. Will post final numbers in a few more days. 2/1- SD #1 is now in the jars curing. Final dry weight was 124.2 grams or 4.4 oz. Total take from the 2 plants was 8 oz. I'm ecstatic about that yield.

1/18-Flushed GG #1 to runoff with 6.3 Ph water only. Runoff was 6.24 Ph/1,270 ppm. She is really starting to bloom now and I think she is going to be a good one in the end. Probably another 2-3 weeks to go I think. Back in the big grow tent now til conclusion. 1/19-Flushed SD #1 to runoff for the final time. Runoff was 6.3 Ph and 460 ppm which is about the same as our local tap water. She's on her own until harvest now. She's been a joy to watch grow. Now we wait for some amber trichomes and then she'd done. About 2 weeks ago I kind of gave up on GG #2 & 3 and moved them out in the back yard. The ruderalis strain started in Siberia so I figured I would just let them do their thing out in the wild and all I've done is feed them tap water. So today I thought I'd post some pics and while they don't look anything like GG #1 they've not done badly. Whatever I get from these two I will consider a bonus. 1/22-Watered GG #1 with nutes. She is really starting to come around now. Buds are filling in nicely and starting to get sticky.

1/26-Watered with nutes to runoff. Runoff 6.3/900. She still looks like she's got another couple of weeks in her. Lots of white pistils. Buds are smelling sweet but can still fatten up quite a bit. Will keep monitoring. 1/28-Buds are starting to get a bit more dense including some of the smaller colas. 1/29-Watered to runoff with nutes mix of 6.3/1,000. Runoff was 6.2 Ph/1,270 ppm. Plant is looking great. Pistils are starting to turn red. Getting stickier by the day. Still looks like it could go another 2 or even 3 weeks based on how the other plants developed big and frosty in the last couple of weeks. 1/31-Every day she gets a little better. Things are fattening. Did some light LST to get more light on the smaller stalks. First signs of the leaves beginning to turn yellow.

2/1-Flushed to runoff with 6.3 Ph water. Runoff was 6.25 Ph and 1,100 ppm. 2/4-Watered with nutes at 6.20Ph and 850 ppm. Runoff was 6.2 Ph and 1,120 ppm. Plant continues to look good. Leaves are starting to get more yellow. Some of the lower bud sites are firming up. Based on my recent experience with the Sour D's I'm projecting this GG #1 (topped) is going to yield somewhere between 3 and 4 ounces. Let's see if that is on the money in a couple of weeks. 2/5-Started flushing. Runoff was 6.5v Ph/670 ppm. 2/7-Definitely in the final stretch now. After a slow start the GG #1 is fattening up nicely. The leaves are all turning yellow and the trichomes are starting to turn amber. Did the 2nd flush tonight and the ppm level is very close to the ppm of the tap water (500 ppm). Sometime in the next week I'll chop them down.

2/15-This one took a while to get there but had a nice yield of 4 ounces in the end. This plant was topped early on and I think it added to the overall yield. Will let it cure now for 30 days and report back on how it smokes.
