What are your opinions on these? My eyesight and shaky hands betray me! I'm seeing amber, I've never had them turn amber before. I've only just checked her today, but the smell is incredible! She's still drinking so your advice and eyes are much appreciated! Thanks =)

60/40 on pistils, tells me she has a little more to give, still sending out those feelers. Trichomes look thick and dense, beautiful. Don't see the amber, although she does look peak or very close to cloudiness. Personally I'd drop temps to preserve what profile we have alrdy and give her 1 more week to ripen. Make sure to take a trichome check from multiple locations on the plant, cola closer to high intensities will exhibit slightly accelerated ambering. Don't just take judgement from the one cola that's 2 feet closer than any other cola and assume the plant is good to go. Best o luck with the grow.

looks like the calyxes could plump a bit more... really need more magnification. a jeweler's loup is worth the 5-10 usd. only focus on trichomes on the calyxes, not leaves or anywhere else. This is something you just have to learn by doing. You won't be anxious about it soon enough. Be systematic. Try taking off buds at different points to learn what you prefer. Some strains won't amber up much so it's important to be able to recognize it other ways, too. bud density and pistil coloration help keep you honest. Recognizing expected plumping etc...

Hey there! 👋 Here’s a simple breakdown based on trichomes and pistils: 🔬 Trichomes (use a 60-100x loupe or microscope): • Clear - too early. The plant is still building potency - the effect will be mild. • Milky/cloudy - peak THC. This gives an energetic, cerebral high. • Amber - THC is degrading into CBN, leading to a more relaxing, sedative effect. Best window to harvest: • About 70% cloudy and 30% amber trichomes - gives a nice balanced effect. 🌸 Pistils: • If the pistils are still white and sticking out, it’s too early. • When around 75-90% of pistils have darkened and curled in, you’re getting close. • Use pistils only as a rough guide - trichomes are way more reliable. ✅ Pro tip: It’s better to harvest a little late than too early. Early harvest = weak effect. Late harvest = stronger, more relaxing vibe.
