Yeah, you can totally freeze your bud if you're tryna store it long-term — just gotta do it right. Key thing is to keep it super airtight and bone dry. Best case: vacuum-sealed bags or mason jars with a solid seal. If there's any moisture or air, you risk mold or freezer burn. And frozen trichomes? Fragile AF — they’ll snap off easy, so don’t be rough with it or move it around a lot. If it's packed right, you’re good for like 6 to 12 months easy, maybe even longer. A lotta people freeze fresh harvests for making hash or rosin later — works great for that. Only thing: when you pull it out, don’t open it right away. Let it thaw slowly, like in the fridge first, so you don’t get condensation messing it up. That said, if you’re smoking it in the next few months, just store it in a cool, dark spot in a jar — maybe toss in a Boveda pack. Freezer’s more for long hauls or hash heads.

I know of a guy whp vac seals em. freezer makes trichomes brittle and break off. need to be gentle if you go this route

Sure you can. The only stasis mode for cannabis is with the Cannatrol.

Den Beutel vorher noch in eine Tupperware geben und gut verschließen. Sonst besteht die Gefahr von Gefrierbrand.

If you freezer fresh from harvest yes then you take them out and let It dry and cure like normal.. otherwise if the Bud Is dry you could freezer It but It changes the color and terpenes and also could leed to mould

Hi growmie, I wouldn’t do that if I were you — because once you freeze your buds and then take them out again, they’ll go from sub-zero temperatures to room temperature. That sudden change will cause condensation to form, which can significantly lower the quality of your cannabis. I recommend this instead: once your weed is dried to around 59% humidity, just place a bud in a jar with a hygrometer. After a few hours, check the reading. If it has dried below 59% in open air, I’d suggest vacuum-sealing it and storing it at under 15°C if possible

i would check the safe temp range for the 2-way humidity control... do boveda packs even work at freezing temps? Light and exposure to O2 are the concerns, but you also don't want anaerobic bacteria growing, that's whay you see those "n2 replacement" storage options. get all the air out as best you can. vacuum seal is an option too but it will compress the buds a bit. they do fluff back up. Cold is good. Freezer is fine as long as you don't agitate it. trichomes are brittle at cold temps. If it can sit there without being constantly touched, moved, or otherwise physically agitated, it's fine. For up to 1 year, you don't have to be so anal, but might see a difference the last month or two by comparison to just a bucket or bag with 2-way humidity control. I am settling into a yearly cycle. LEftovers from previous year get made into bubble hash. I'm just starting to make use of a vacuum sealer. no fridge or freezer though. will see how much that helps in 5-6 months
