Nice plant those arnt small buds, it's a very broad question, every move you make affect the end product, genetics... the different grow periods and you handle watering, lights, enviroment, feed, microbes C:N ratio..it's a Good grow and your standards appear high so the next plant will have bigger buds taking extra knolege with you. Knowledge is power

Mostly from genetics and lighting. But also stripping off the leaves that make the energy that goes into the buds is not ideal. Have a plan and reason for doing things not just cuz you can. You nerfed your own grow by doing this.

denseness of nugs is limited by genetic firstly, environment secondly, and hormones thirdly. The second two play together and are essentially one rather complex thing to be quite honest this problem is usually light related (weak fixture, lack of applying inverse square law or DLI theory for too weak a fixture symptoms...too intense relative to leaf temp and night/day delta for stomata...etc....you see how it is going)

genetics is the ceiling... number of primary colas will impact it relative to gentics. fewer colas = bigger buds. bigger isn't better. larger buds are more susceptible to pathogens. The greater variation in bud size also means a greater variation in drying time too. There's a happy medium where you get easy trim buds and quality bud sizes deep into canopy.

Looks pretty big to me. But a technique called lollipopping which is useful because it removes all the lower bud that didn't get much light or any at all really

hey 👋 In your next session, don’t hesitate to try topping, mainlining, lollipopping, or at least LST; i t’s better to have fewer buds that are big and dense than lots of small, weak ones. You need to force your plant to focus on its buds rather than branch growth past a certain stage, and these techniques have proven their effectiveness 👌

Don't defoliate...........all those leaves you removed were providing most of the energy your plant needed to grow its biggest buds! Quite simply, Less leaves = less energy being made = less flower growth. Afer this, genetics, lighting and correct feeding are the three main limiting factors for bud size. A plant can not grow buds bigger than its genetic blueprint, but it can certainly grow smaller buds with incorrect feeding and poor lighting. It is all about providing the best possible environment so that a plant can express its genetic potential to the maximum. There are no magic products that can turn a plant from average flowers to monster flowers, regardless of what the nutrient companies try to get you to buy. However, reducing a plants ability to make energy (defoliation) will certainly decrease flower potential. If you want more buds, grow photoperiod fems and not autos, that way you can control when flowering occurs and only once you are satisfied with the plants' size, rather than autos which will flower at a pre-determined age, no matter the size.
