What is the difference between a bred line, IBL, true breeding, F1-hybrid, and hybrid cannabis plants? Do you choose to grow something predictable? Or do you prefer the surprises and hunting something special from hybrid plants that have variation? Both? Medical or fun?

Regarding your question about genetics – it plays a role here too: • IBL & True Breeding: These lines are genetically stabilized (inbreeding over many generations). Everything here is predictable. All plants react the same to nutrients and light. This is ideal for medical purposes, where you need a precise, consistent effect. • F1 Hybrids & Hybrids: Here you often have a high variation. If you're a "fun grower," pheno-hunting (the search for the special phenotype) is the best part. You're looking in the genetic grab bag for that one "unicorn" that smells stronger or blooms more beautifully than the rest. Conclusion: If you need medicine, choose stability (IBLs). If you're looking for adventure and want to select a special mother plant, go for hybrids. For your plant in the picture, I would first check the pH of the runoff before adding more nutrients!
