This is the symptoms of a plant struggling to grow in a media that is overfertilized.

not a virus. I see some 'variegation" which is just uneven pigmentation in the leaves. You might see some awkward leaf growth when you train this early - not always but given enough opportunity, you'll see it. Topping this early can come with some risk, too. "they" say you shouldn't transplant an auto, but i gaurantee it's more ideal to use appropriate pot sizes. I see you watered a small area around this tiny plant in a big pot. Did you make sure that moisture got all the way down to the bottom? If not you are training superficial roots. It's difficult to properly water a small plant in a big pot. It also stays extra wet for prolonged periods of time, which is another drawback due to risk of pathogens. It's no different than using water that stagnated in a bucket for as many days. Potting up is a process much less stressful than a 'transplant.' Transplants of trees and even small plants rooted in the ground is a much more stressful than what we do with indoor plants. That's where that old wive's tale comes from. Outside you cut up the root system, but indoors you are gently placing it into a larger medium and should cause minimal stress of zero ramifications. I like to joke in my diary - '400th pot-up and zero shock, again'
