Hey there! Don't worry, your seedlings are definitely not growing 'too fast'—it is actually the exact opposite. They are suffering from an acute lack of light (also known as stretching or etiolation).
When a plant doesn't get enough light intensity, it directs all its energy into rapidly growing a tall, thin stem to search for the sun. The stem becomes extremely weak and thread-like. As soon as the first real set of leaves develops, the fragile stem simply collapses under the weight.
Here is how you can save your 3 seedlings right now:
1 More Light: Move your grow light closer to the plants or turn up the dimmer a bit. Seedlings don't need blasting light at this stage, but a solid baseline (around 150–200 PPFD) is absolutely necessary to keep them compact and stocky.
2 Bury the Stems: When you transplant them next, carefully bury that long, naked stem all the way up to the cotyledons (the first round, smooth leaves) in the soil. The buried stem will easily sprout new roots, and your plants will instantly stand firm and upright.
3 Turn on a Fan: Place a small oscillating fan in your tent so the seedlings gently and lightly dance in the breeze. This mechanical movement signals the plant to strengthen its stem and make it thicker and woodier.
Don't panic, this is the most common beginner mistake during the first indoor run. Bury them deeper, bring the light closer, and they will recover in no time! Good luck! 🌱
