if not fully saturating, probably a rootzone related problem. How those symptoms progressed woud help, though. Seems like the damage is orgiinating from the veins. That blotchy damage can occur with really advanced nutrient symptoms... so if you didn't ignore symptoms for a long time, i'd lean toward root zone issues.
in soil you don't always want runoff. you want runoff if you need to dilute the soil nutrient concentration
in soiless, you want 10% runoff or more every single time.
most importantly, do not whimsically choose how much water to give. You give enough to accomplish the task. If you trigger an irrigation at same loss of wait or same depth or dryness up top, it'll be a consistent volume that you can plan for in regard to mixing nutes and not wasting too much.
1) fully saturate - this will never cause a problem on its own
2) wait for appropriate dryback / loss of water weight and repeat
if proper watering ever causes some droop, it's most likely a poorly constituted medium that needs more perlite or similar. Or, you aren't waiting for enough dryback before irrigating.
these are long-established watering habits for potted plants. Marijuana does not require anything different.
If this sounds drastically different than how you've watered so far, adjust habits. Maybe, give a little extra runoff for a few irrigations - whether you add fertilier or not.
