Topping

I do my first cut where the true leaves start. Wait to grow 2 nodes and top again. From there can keep topping every week or let it grow out with 6-8 tops. Check out my 3 blue kings diary if want to see how far can go with topping.

HI! Topping is the most easiest thing to do and it does not matter how you do it. I prefer to use scissors and I just cut the stem above the nodes I want to make my new mains. Usually I wait until 5-6 nodes have grown and I cut between 3rd and 4th node to make the 3rd nodes my new mains. I always leave some stem above the nodes so I don't have to be that careful with the scissors. You can check my diaries to get a better hold on things. But don't stress about it, its hard to fail topping
