High roller pretty much hit the nail on the head. Not knowing when she'll flip is the problem. We have little control over how and when autos will decide it's their "time". Most auto growers depend solely on LST to achieve their results and get higher yeilds. I use these same techniques with photo periods and it works very, very well. Ii IMO and only IMO, I would not top. Can't and won't tell you not to top, but I would suggest giving her a bend instead. Exposing lower growth to air and light will help it shoot up and become another main top. Reference: I used auto training methods on my current 'Blue Cookies" grow. No topping, just pure LST and the results are clear as day. I did this to show you didn't have to top photos either and still get the same, if not better, results. I take progression photos and you can check out the early weeks of that diary to see the bends I made and what I'm talking about👍. Wether you choose to top or now, LST is and would be a great addition to your grow space/techniques. Very little work for very high payoffs. Cheers man, good luck with whatever you decide! Please trust that LST is a favorable option, however, especially/specifically with autos. Hit me up in PM if there might be anything else. Happy grows, happy trails👍😉

I've topped an auto before and it doesn't so much stress them out but I did find that it seems to make the buds less dense compared to no topping.

Hi NorCal311 Hi mate Your answer is my way so only look In to my diaries. I have been topping every Grow Autoflowers. And I recommend to top as early as possible Autoflower. If you decide to do so. Very early topping Benefits -This way the recovering much quicker. -They have smaller wounds to hell. -Time is crucial with Autoflowers. - very thick steam from the start -Autoflower stretch maximum to week 7 -early topping enough time to recover and stretch - keeps your plants low And bushy. - allows for better LST and spreading the canopy more Evenly Tip cover cut with painters tape. Will recover quicker. Looks your plant is healthy, Mate so I think that's enough to get you Topping mate. Like suggested above try to not over water them. It's time for your girls to get bushy. Good luck And happy Growing.

if it is an auto, you can't know when it'll switch itself to flowering.some stay in veg for 2 weeks, some for 7 weeks.observe closely,if there are some white hairs around growth nodes, toping would be a bad idea.If no preflower signs, you are free to top your plant but as it's been 3 weeks from start,I personally wouldn't take that risk. All you need before topping should always be some strong side branching.yours is only a stem at the moment,I would only lst or supercrop it in this case.its up to you in the end.if you think they are happy and healthy, you can choose to top..or not to top.

Your leaves are looking like uve been overwatering your plants. Be sure to let the medium dry before rewatering. A few good wet to dry cycles and your leaves will loose that wrinkle and sag. Also I'd dial back your nutrient levels a bit. Especially their nitrogen intake. I say that because ur girls are starting to claw. Which is a sign of too much nitrogen in the medium. Thus because of these two things I'd say bring them to better health. Wait 4 a bit more strength before going at them. If u do it now ur sure to stunt them. As they already are battling moisture and nutrient shock. Wait to see them perk up than top away!
