I certainly do, yes. Amended soil or not, excess nutrients will build in the soil over time and the girls need somewhat of a purge here and there. When my plant is big enough (6 sets/nodes in 3 gallons) I start to water for run off. In the young seedling stage we don't do this because there is no root system to take the moisture and the little ones will drown/damp off with too much over feeding/watering.
When you start run-off in soil, give enough to get 10-15% out the bottom. You can then take this run off and test is. This is the main reason we do this. What we put in may not be what we get out, so reading run off ppms and pH is imparitive in planning your feeds and assessing your soil pH/ppms etc...
What you wash out in the amended soil, we replace with our nutrients anyways and those amended soils are to get the girls moving, not necessarily to carry them through the whole grow. There's maybe 3-4 weeks worth of nitrogen in that soil for the girl, but she will gas it out and you will need to start nute feeds.
Hope this helped and good luck this week👍🙂 Cheers!
